After both being relegated from League A in the 2024-25 campaign, Poland and Bosnia-Herzegovina will play their first 2026-27 Nations League match in Warsaw on Friday.
The two nations now find themselves alongside Romania and Sweden, with the visitors on the back of the 2026 World Cup and their hosts having not made the tournament.

Poland head into action in Warsaw on Friday in the first of four Nations League matches in the September and October international break.
They have dropped into League B following a tough 2024-25 campaign in group A1, picking up four points and conceding 16 goals in six matches in a group alongside Portugal, Croatia and Scotland.
A positive World Cup qualifying run followed, as they finished second in their European group to advance to the playoffs, before getting past Albania and falling at the final hurdle in a 3-2 away defeat to Sweden.
Instead, their last action came in two friendlies in June, losing 2-0 to Ukraine and drawing 2-2 against Nigeria, and Jan Urban has called up a strong squad in preparation to bounce back, led by talisman Robert Lewandowski who has scored 89 goals in 167 caps with a supporting cast including the likes of Karol Swiderski, Piotr Zielinski and Sebastian Szymanski, while Jakub Moder and Krzysztof Piatek have missed out through injury.
They will bid to get off the mark at the first time of asking on home soil against a visiting team last seen in the World Cup in USA, Mexico and Canada.
Bosnia-Herzegovina also had a 2024-25 Nations League to forget, suffering relegation from group A3, finishing on just two points having gone winless in six matches against Germany, Netherlands and Hungary.
They would go on to enjoy a triumphant World Cup qualifying campaign, though, reaching their own playoff and beating Wales and Italy with penalty shootouts to progress, before advancing to the final 32 of the summer tournament on four points thanks to a win over Qatar in the final round of games to end on four points.
USA stood in their way, and the Zmajevi bowed out in a 2-0 loss, and they head into their September opener with a much-changed squad, with Amar Dedic and Dennis Hadzikadunic late dropouts through injury while Amir Hadziahmetovic, Dzenis Burnic and Jusuf Gazibegovic are also not involved.
Still able to rely on star man Edin Dzeko, who has 151 caps and 73 international goals at 40 years of age, and with new Leeds United centre-back Tarik Muharemovic having shone early in the Premier League season, Bosnia-Herzegovina head to Warsaw aiming to leave with three points to get up and running in League B.
