Bristol City to win

The Robins have won nine of their 18 home games in the Championship this season where they are averaging 1.83 points per game.

Promotion hopefuls Bristol City and Norwich go head-to-head in the Championship on Friday night for a game that the Canaries really need to win if they are to keep the pressure on the four teams above them currently outside of the play-off places.

Bristol City vs Norwich prediction: A home win on the cards?

Bristol City preview: Rescued a point at Bramall Lane

Liam Manning's side worked tirelessly in midweek against Sheffield United where the two teams went in goalless at the interval.

The Blades broke the deadlock just after the hour mark with a goal that looked like it was going to be enough to win the game. However, in the final minute of the allotted 90, Mark Sykes scored his second league goal of the campaign to earn Bristol City a share of the spoils.

Kal Naismith returns to the squad following a suspension, but Robert Atkinson, Ross McCrorie, Fally Mayulu and Ayman Benarous are all injury concerns for Friday's hosts.

Predicted lineup: O’Leary (GK), Dickie, Vyner, Tanner, Roberts, Williams, Mehmeti, Bird, Knight, Armstrong & Hirakawa

Norwich preview: Blew a two-goal lead against the Owls.

The Canaries were left kicking themselves when the final whistle blew on Tuesday night's home game against Sheffield Wednesday.

Johannes Thorup's side played really well in the opening 45 minutes and managed to establish a two-goal lead heading into the break thanks to efforts from Broja Sainz and Ante Crnac. However, a complete collapse in the second half saw the Owls score three times in the space of 12 minutes to win the match 3-2.

Due to injury, Midfielders Gabriel Forsyth and Liam Gibbs are both rated as doubtful to feature on Friday night.

Predicted lineup: Reyes (GK), Duffy, Cordoba, Doyle, Fisher, McLean, Marcondes, Ben Slimane, Wright, Sainz & Crnac

Mehmeti, a former Norwich youth player, made the move to the Robins from Wycombe Wanderers in 2023, and this season, he has scored 12 goals in 34 appearances in the Championship.

The Albanian has scored 12 times in the Championship this season

The 24-year-old will want to impress on Friday night against the club that allowed him to leave before he had even made his senior debut in the league, and we're excited to see how Mehmeti performs.
