Expecting a Greek win
Greece suffered a surprise defeat in their last game but, in spite of that, we are still backing them to come out as winners in this clash. As mentioned, Cyprus beat Greece at the weekend but prior to that the Greeks had won four on the bounce and they are now assured of top spot in the group meaning the pressure is off. For Northern Ireland, they've won just once in half a dozen games losing three and drawing the other two and are still in danger of finishing bottom of this group. With their recent form, travelling away from home and having lost to Greece in three of their last five meetings it doesn't look too bright for Ian Baraclough's men.
A low scorer
Our next prediction for this match is that it will be a low scoring game. Specifically, we are backing under 2.5 goals in the total goals market. Greece have fallen under that 2.5 threshold in four of their past five matches averaging just 1.6 goals per game. Northern Ireland swing the other way with three of their past five going over the 2.5 marker albeit their game average is only marginally over 2.5 with 13 goals seen across those five games (that's 2.6 per match). On form, that means things marginally stack towards an ‘under' bet being the correct call, which is broadly what the betting odds tell us. When you then factor in the head to head, we believe you unlock the value. Five of the last six meetings between these two nations – including the most recent clash – have come in south of 2.5 goals.

Can Northern Ireland avoid relegation?
Northern Ireland have control of their own destiny in that anything but a loss in Greece will ensure they avoid finishing bottom of the group regardless of what happens in the other game. Lose though and they could be finishing bottom. Greece meanwhile have realistically had the group sorted for a while having won each of their first four games; they'll still want to sign off with a win though so Northern Ireland needn't expect an easy 90 minutes.
Suggesting Athens will be in party mood might be a tad strong but the home crowd will enjoy this game knowing they've won the group. The players will too and, as such, we expect a reasonably strong side to be named so the key players can take the plaudits for a job well done in this group.
Greece Predicted lineup – Vlachodimos, Tsimikas, Baldock, Mavropanos, Chatzidaikos, Siopis, Bakasetas, Kourbelis, Pelkas, Douvikas, Masouras
Northern Ireland arrive here off the back of an important win and are now looking to get a result to ensure they have no need for nervous checks of the other group game. Expect an unchanged XI.
Northern Ireland Predicted lineup – Peacock-Farrell, McNair, Evans, Flanagan, Lewis, Evans, Bradley, Davis, Saville, Magennis, Charles
