Nice vs Rennes predictions: Nice to end winless streak in Ligue 1
Key stats
- Both teams have scored in 58% of Nice's home matches in the league this season.
- Rennes have lost three of their last five away games, while Nice have stayed undefeated in their last four home league matches, although those have all ended in draws.
- The home team have won six of the last seven H2H meetings between these two teams.
Correct score prediction: Nice 2-1 Rennes
Rennes are in better form (three league wins in a row compared to five games without a win for Nice), but Nice are undefeated in their last four home top-flight matches and have already beaten Rennes this season in their first meeting.
Nice also come into this game after securing a spot in the Coupe de France semi-finals earlier this week, so they should have enough confidence to get three important points from a close and exciting game.

Nice preview: Hoping to end winless streak
While Nice's season has been a bit of a disaster since they're currently the first team outside of the relegation zone, they do have six points more than Auxerre in the relegation playoff spot. Nice are winless in their last five league matches and their last home win in Ligue 1 came back at the end of October. On the other hand, they are also undefeated in their last four home top-flight matches and they come into this game after an exciting win over Lorient on penalties in the Coupe de France quarter-finals.
Meanwhile, Nice are also struggling with injuries, with Mohamed Abdelmonem, Youssouf Ndayishimiye, Isak Jansson, Elye Wahi, Moise Bombito, and Hichem Boudaoui all out. Melvin Bard and Everton Pereira are questionable for this game as well.
Predicted lineup: Dupe (GK), Clauss, Oppong, Dante, Abdi, Vanhoutte, Sanson, Cho, Louchet, Diop & Carlos
Last five matches
- 04/03/26: Lorient 0-0 Nice(p) (Coupe de France)
- 01/03/26: Paris FC 1-0 Nice (Ligue 1)
- 22/02/26: Nice 3-3 Lorient (Ligue 1)
- 15/02/26: Lyon 2-0 Nice (Ligue 1)
- 08/02/26: Nice 0-0 Monaco (Ligue 1)
Rennes preview: Looking to get involved in race for Champions League
On the back of three consecutive wins, one of which was against the defending champions PSG, Rennes are now just three points behind fourth-placed Marseille. While the team's expectations were far from battling for the Champions League, they are now in a position to at least secure a spot in some European competition, if they can keep their good form going.
When it comes to team news, Glen Kamara and Jeremy Jacquet are out with injuries, while Przemyslaw Frankowski and Yassir Zabiri are questionable.
Predicted lineup: Samba (GK), Nagida, Rouault, Brassier, Merlin, Rongier, Camara, Szymanski, Taamari, Nordin & Lepaul
Last five matches
- 28/02/26: Rennes 1-0 Toulouse (Ligue 1)
- 22/02/26: Auxerre 0-3 Rennes (Ligue 1)
- 13/02/26: Rennes 3-1 PSG (Ligue 1)
- 07/02/26: Lens 3-1 Rennes (Ligue 1)
- 03/02/26: Marseille 3-0 Rennes (Coupe de France)
Player to watch: Esteban Lepaul
Mason Greenwood and Joaquin Panichelli are the only two players currently ahead of Lepaul when it comes to Ligue 1 goals, so the guests will once again rely on him to provide the offensive spark.

With 11 goals this term in the league, Lepaul has been the key piece of Rennes' successful campaign and their involvement in the race for Europe, so Nice will have to keep a close eye on him if they want to have a chance of ending their winless streak in the league.
