Nice saw their five-match unbeaten run across all competitions come to an end, as Auxerre emerged victorious in a relegation six-pointer. Tied on 31 points, AJA are safe solely due to their superior goal difference.

Claude Puel has work to do, with two crucial fixtures to play. This final league clash is followed by a season-defining Coupe de France final against Ligue 1 runners-up Lens.

The Eagles couldn’t have asked for a better final day fixture, with Metz the worst performing side this season.
