For a side sat inside the relegation spots just few weeks ago, Nice have escaped the red zone by five points. The Eagles are unbeaten in four straight competitive games, although that accounts for three successive draws in the league.

Their only win in that span came in the Coupe de France semi-final against Strasbourg, beating them 2-0 in search of their first cup accolade in 29 years.

Claude Puel’s men heroically held Marseille to a 1-1 draw at Stade Velodrome last time out. Elye Wahi’s 88th-minute penalty salvaged a significant point for the Eagles.

Both sides have three players missing for this clash. Nice are without Moise Bombito, Mohamed Abdelmonem and Everton Pereira. Meanwhile, Lens have to deal with the absences of Jonathan Gradit, Arthur Masuaku and Regis Gurtner.

Lens begin round 32 trailing reigning champions and league leaders Paris Saint-Germain by six points. Only one win from their last three Ligue 1 outings has unsettled the atmosphere in the locker room.
