Neymar Next Club: Latest Transfer Odds for PSG Star

PSG are at the centre of all kinds of transfer stories at the moment and after the departure of Messi and the continued furore around the future of Kylian Mbappe, their third superstar is now reportedly looking for a way out. Clubs like Barcelona and Chelsea are in the running for his signature which is understandable given that the Neymar transfer latest is that the Brazilian has been considering a return to Spain.

Neymar Next Club

With this said, things can change quite drastically from one day to the next when it comes to the transfer market. So who knows – maybe tomorrow Neymar will have closer links with other clubs? However, the future is always speculative in the transfer period. Therefore, rather than coming up with predictions based on rumours, let’s work with the facts.

On that note, the list of options for Neymar’s next club are detailed below alongside their respective odds.

PSG @ 8/11 (1.73) Odds

Despite rumours swirling that Neymar wants out of PSG this summer, nothing has developed as of yet. Then again, this is still very fresh news, so it might take a few days for anything substantial to emerge. Nevertheless, PSG still has the shortest odds to be Neymar’s next club with a price of 8/11. And to be fair, given that Messi has departed, combined with the uncertainty surrounding Mbappe, the club would hate to lose another star man. Therefore, I believe they will fight hard to keep him at the club.

Chelsea @ 3/1 (4.00) Odds

Chelsea is the next club in line for Neymar’s possible destination if a PSG departure did come through. Yet how are the odds so short for Chelsea compared with other clubs? Well, the downturn in these odds has largely been stimulated because of Neymar’s solid relationship with Pochettino. As you’ll know, Pochettino has moved from PSG to Chelsea, so he is both familiar with and fond of Neymar, hence the current price.

Any MLS Club @ 6/1 (7.00) Odds

For the third option, there is no exact MLS club mentioned in the currently available betting markets. So instead, you can back that Neymar will move to ‘any MLS club’ at a price of 6/1. Now, this price has come through based on the fact that Lionel Messi has left PSG for Inter Miami, so punters are thinking that Neymar could follow his previous teammate to North America.

Barcelona @ 6/1 (7.00) Odds

The reason for this one speaks for itself. Neymar was nurtured at Barcelona and built into the superstar that he is today. He was at the club from 2013 to 2017, and he scored 68 goals in 123 appearances for the club. But most importantly, he loved it there, and the fans loved him too. So at 31 years of age, a move back to a club where he enjoyed so much success is by no means an impossibility.

At the same time, Barcelona needs a star man to come in and lead the rebuilding process right now. They’ve just lost Griezmann, and to be honest, Lewandowski is the last leader standing at the front.

Any Saudi Pro League Club @ 12/1 (13.00) Odds

The fifth and final option is one you’ll have seen for many players this summer. Of course, many players have signed for clubs in the Saudi Pro League due to the enormous sums of money on offer. Yet it is still more common for guys that have achieved pretty much all there is to achieve in Europe to then make a move to Saudi Arabia. Naturally, Neymar fits the bill, and at 31 years of age, he could snag a very nice retirement package by joining one of the top-tier clubs.
