Newcastle vs Bournemouth: Free Betting Tips

Newcastle started the new Premier League season with a win but have failed to secure all 3pts in any of their last five league games. This weekend the Magpies play host to newly-promoted Bournemouth who head to St James's Park on the back of a fantastic 3-2 win away at Nottingham Forest in which they were 2-0 down at the interval.

Both Teams to Score

Recent meetings between these two clubs have never failed to provide plenty of goalmouth action with each of the last five Premier League encounters ending with both teams getting on the scoreboard. Both teams have also scored in four of Newcastle's last five outings in league and cup while Bournemouth have only managed to keep one clean sheet in their last six matches, so you can see why we're not backing either side to keep their clean sheet intact this weekend.

Over 2.5 Goals

At least three goals have been scored in each of the last five meetings between Newcastle and Bournemouth, and we're predicting more of the same on Saturday. Over 2.5 goals have been scored in three of Newcastle's last five outings and five of Bournemouth's last six matches have also witnessed at least three goals scored, adding plenty of weight to our prediction.

Magpies looking for first win since the opening day of the season

Newcastle had the home advantage against Crystal Palace last time out but didn't do enough with it in the end. The first-half ended goalless and the second followed suit, despite both teams creating chances to win the game. Newcastle have now failed to win any of their five games since beating Nottingham Forest in their first game of the season.

Newcastle Predicted Lineup: Pope, Trippier, Schär, Targett, Botman, Fraser, Almirón, Willock, Longstaff, Joelinton & Isak

Bournemouth's character was truly tested when they made the trip to The City Ground to face Nottingham Forest. The home side went in at the break 2-0 up and after Bournemouth lost 9-0 at Anfield, many feared for the worst. However, a superb strike from Billing got the Cherries back into the match in the 51st-minute and former Liverpool, striker, Solanke, made it 2-2 in the 63rd-minute. From then on there only looked like being one winner and with 3-minutes left on the clock, Solanke won the back in the Forest half and played in Anthony who only had to tap in from a few yards out to score his first goal for Bournemouth and earn his team a priceless victory.

Bournemouth Predicted Lineup: Neto, Smith, Kelly, Mepham, Zemura, Lerma, Christie, Cook, Billing, Tavernier & Solanke

Team News

Newcastle: Jonjo Shelvey, Callum Wilson, Bruno Guimaraes, Allan Saint-Maximin, Karl Darlow and Emil Krafth are all injury concerns for the home side.

Bournemouth: David Brooks, Joseph Rothwell and Benjamin Pearson remain sidelined but Junior Stanislas could return to the squad.
