Newcastle United and Liverpool head into their Premier League opener at St. James' Park on Sunday afternoon with new managers.
Matthias Jaissle has the task of replacing Eddie Howe, who brought a major trophy to Newcastle in the Carabao Cup against Liverpool in the final.
Likewise, Andoni Iraola has replaced Arne Slot, who won the Premier League with Liverpool in his debut season.

After winning the Carabao Cup and playing in the Champions League, Newcastle suffered a setback last season by finishing 12th.

Jaissle will have to his best with the squad he has, and will hope new signings Bazoumana Toure, Amar Dedic, Aladji Bamba, Lukas Hornicek, Sean Steur and Ewen Jaouen can all adapt to Premier League football quickly.
Tino Livramento and Joelinton are among the absentees for Newcastle here, but they will lean on what is usually a vicious home crowd to try and dismantle Liverpool.
As for the Reds, Iraola is tasked with improving on their fifth-place finish and lack of silverware the season after winning the Premier League.
