After a summer of significant change where Anthony Gordon, Sandro Tonali and Bruno Guimaraes left alongside manager Eddie Howe, Newcastle have perhaps surprised people with how well they have started.
Matthias Jaissle has been backed well in the market, with his latest addition coming on deadline day in the form of Matias Fernandez-Pardo, who could make his debut.
Tino Livramento is also close to returning in what would be a big boost, but the likes of Dan Burn and Joelinton remain on the sidelines.
Newcastle have a poor record in recent meetings against Bournemouth, and will want to put that right with the momentum they have built.
As for the Cherries, it has not been the start Marco Rose would have wanted after taking over from Andoni Iraola.
Admittedly, they had a tough start at Man City, but were ahead in that match, while Everton scored a last-gasp equaliser to steal a point at the Vitality Stadium.
Bournemouth have no fresh injury concerns, with reports emerging that the injured Eli Junior Kroupi is attracting interest from Arsenal ahead of January.
The visitors will be desperate to get their first win on the board here, but it will not be easy against a revived Newcastle.
