The Lions will take on the Wrexham challenge on 30 August at their home – The Den. Plenty of times have these teams faced each other, but the last official head-to-head came 24 years ago. It will surely be interesting to see how Saturday’s clash might end, as Wrexham’s last success over the Lions was registered back in 1998.

Millwall vs Wrexham prediction: Millwall to secure a win
Key Stats
- Five of the last seven matches between the two teams resulted in under 1.5 total goals scored.
- Millwall won two of the last three games at home against this opponent.
- Coach Alex Neill has a positive 2-2-0 record against this opponent.
Correct score prediction: Millwall 1-0 Wrexham
Millwall have a history of dealing with Wrexham. Ryan Reynolds’ club hasn’t scored a goal against Millwall at The Den in the last 270 minutes of football. The last time they scored a goal there was on 17 January, 1998. Millwall play very well at home, which will make things very difficult for the visitors to even score a consolation goal.
Pre-game odds and win probability: Wrexham unlikely to win
- HOME: 17/20 (1.85) – 54.1%
- DRAW: 5/2 (3.50) – 28.6%
- AWAY: 69/20 (4.45) – 22.5%
*Odds from Ladbrokes, subject to change
Under 1.5 total goals priced at 23/10 (3.30) gives the two teams a 30.3% chance of scoring only one goal or none at all. Surely, Millwall are the expected winners, with a 54.1% win probability behind them at 17/20 (1.85). This means Wrexham are the underdogs, with only a 22.5% chance of scooping a win at 69/20 (4.45).

Most recent H2Hs: Traditions will be honoured
The last official meeting resulted in a 1-1 tie. Craig Faulconbridge and Tim Cahill scored the goals that day, which raises the question – who will the scorers be on Saturday?
Millwall team news and form: Veteran key for Millwall
Backup shot-stopper Lukas Jensen is injured and won’t be on the bench this Saturday. The same goes for star right-back Danny McNamara. However, coach Neil has plenty of quality players to choose from, and we believe 33-year-old Ryan Leonard will operate on the right.
Predicted lineup: Benda (GK), Sturge, Cooper, Crama, Leonard, Neghli, Luongo, De Norre, Cundle, Ivanovic & Coburn

Wrexham team news and form: Wrexham’s coach struggles to find right men
After two consecutive Championship losses, Wrexham’s fans caught a break by securing a 2-2 tie at home versus point-hungry Owls. Sheffield Wednesday were perhaps the better of the two teams on the pitch, but Ethan Horvath didn’t have a day to remember under the sticks for the visitors.
Predicted lineup: Ward (GK), Cleworth, Coady, Brunt, McClean, James, O’Brien, Dobson, Longman, Moore & Broadhead

Player to watch: Kieffer Moore
Kieffer Moore deserved to win the Player of the Match Award against Sheffield Wednesday, as he scored a lovely brace for Wrexham. Both goals were a done deal in the first half of the match at the Racecourse Ground.

Can Moore do more?
We should point out that centre-forward Moore also has an assist under his belt this season. It will be very interesting how many goals he will be able to score during the 2025/26 campaign, as he found the net six times in 30 games for Sheffield United last season.
