Facing their first defeat of the season in Saturday’s Premier League clash with Bournemouth, Newcastle United mounted an impressive comeback to secure a 2-2 draw and preserve Matthias Jaissle’s unbeaten start on Tyneside.
Despite the departure of last season’s top scorer Anthony Gordon, Newcastle have scored nine goals in four matches this term, including three against West Bromwich Albion in their opening cup tie, although defensive frailties remain, with just one clean sheet and six goals conceded so far.
