Monaco
Monaco suffered their first defeat of the season last weekend when edged 0-1 at home by Nice. It wasn’t such a bad showing just on this occasion Ben Yedder hasn’t put his shooting boots on and he squandered too many chances.
Monaco won their first 2 home games of the season 3-0 and they certainly know where the back of the net is in general.
An angry reaction to the setback can be expected now and Ben Yedder in particular will be highly motivated to redeem himself for the several good chances he squandered last weekend when coming off the bench. He should start now again though as Balogun was very unconvincing in his first start for Monaco vs Nice.
Monaco continue to have lots of health problems. The most recent casualty is the flying wing-back Caio. He joins the treatment room where striker Embolo and Ben Saghir are already recovering. Another defender Salisu is injured too but he features rarely anyway.
Predicted Lineup:
Kohn (GK), Singo, Zakaria, Magassa, Vanderson, Camara, Fofana, Matsima, Minamino, Golovin & Ben Yedder
Marseille
Marseille suffered their first defeat of the season last weekend but it was a painful one. On their visit to bitter rivals PSG Marseille were soundly beaten 0-4. The visitors never registered a shot on target in this match and they simply looked out of source. This was the first game since coach Marcelino resigned.
The Spaniard stayed in charge for just 5 rounds and citing differences with the owners he left. Italian Gennaro Gattuso has been appointed as the new head coach this week and he will be making his debut in charge now.
Gattuso is not likely to shake things up too dramatically but veteran striker Aubameyang might be benched as he had been nothing short of awful in recent games.
Ruiz is the long long-term absentee right now. The useful playmaker Kondogbia and the impactful winger Sarr also could be absent. Both train again though so late decision will be made on them.
Predicted Lineup:
Lopez (GK), Mbemba, Gigot, Balerdi, Clauss, Rongier, Ounahi, Veretout, Lodi, Oliveir & Vitinho
Starting Lineups
The teams usually announce their starting lineups one hour before the start of the game.

Marseille
Player to Watch: Takumi Minamino
Monaco's explosive winger Takumi Minamino is having an excellent campaign so far. The Japanese accumulated 3 goals and 2 assists in the opening 6 rounds.
Minamino is very good one-on-one and Monaco like to exploit that. Considering, that one of Marseille's main weaknesses so far had been defending one-on-one we can see Minamino adding more major contributions to his tally.
