Manchester City know that anything other than a win against Crystal Palace at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday night would mean that Arsenal would win the Premier League title with victory at home to already-relegated Burnley.
Indeed, while the Cityzens beat Brentford 3-0 on home soil last time out, the Gunners matched it with a 1-0 victory of their own at West Ham United, keeping the gap to five points in the title race.
Palace came back from behind to draw 2-2 against Everton at Selhurst Park, which mathematically confirmed their safety with other results going their way.

Man City are by all means not out of the title race, but they simply cannot afford to have any more slip-ups after their 3-3 draw at Everton handed the advantage back to Arsenal.
The Gunners have two favourable fixtures at home to Burnley and away to Palace themselves, but should they slip up, the Cityzens must make sure they can pounce.
Their 3-0 victory over Brentford was their fourth in a row on home soil in all competitions, and so Pep Guardiola's side will be confident they can get the job done here.
They may have to do so without key player Rodri though, who continues to be sidelined, and with the added pressure that should they not win, Arsenal can win the title if they beat Burnley in their next fixture.
Palace boast no fresh injury concerns of their own, although they could rotate here given they have now secured their Premier League status for next season.
Oliver Glasner has already admitted that he could rotate in their final league game against Arsenal, due to the Conference League final against Rayo Vallecano being just three days later.
With a finish in the European places unlikely due to their low points total compared to the teams above them, the best chance they have of playing European football next season is by winning the Conference League.
It also gives the Eagles a chance to win another historic trophy after lifting the FA Cup last season, but focus for now is on the tough test away at Man City.

Whispers predicts: Man City 3-0 Crystal Palace
Man City are 2/9 favourites to win, but while we agree with the bookies, these odds are far too short for us to back.
Instead, we have focused on the handicap market, given Man City have scored three or more goals in nine home games so far this season, the most of any team in the league.
Against what could be a rotated Palace side, they could fill their boots again, and so Man City to win (-2 handicap) at 6/4 appeals.
That would have come through against Brentford, and they also kept a clean sheet, their second in three league matches.
That makes BTTS – No at 20/23 another bet we are willing to take.
Jeremy Doku is on fire at the moment with four goals in his previous three appearances, including a glorious opener against Brentford.
Thus, we feel we can take advantage of Doku to score anytime at 3/1, which seems rather generous in our eyes.
Overall, we are predicting another 3-0 Man City victory, which can be backed at 15/2.
> BTTS – No at 20/23 | Likelihood: Probable
> Man City to win (-2 handicap) at 6/4 | Likelihood: Possible
> Doku to score anytime at 3/1 | Likelihood: Possible
