Man Utd vs Wrexham Lineups, Match Information, and Team News
Man Utd
The form that Manchester United has shown in three preseason games will give the fans something to look forward to as the start of the season is fast approaching. Man Utd won all three games they played so far without conceding a goal. The latest win came over Arsenal with Tom Heaton between the goalposts, but Andre Onana will soon join the team after signing a deal coming from Inter Milan. Man Utd already brought in Mason Mount and the club is currently looking to strengthen its forward position which lacks choices for manager Erik ten Hag. Quite a few rumors are going around at the moment and one that is most significant is about the 20-year-old Danish striker Rasmus Hojlund who is currently at Atalanta. For the match against Wrexham, however, it is worth noting that a reserve team with a quite a few youth players should be in the lineup because the rest of the main squad will be playing against Real Madrid a day later.
Predicted lineup: Vitek, Jurado, Evans, Fish, Fernandez, Hannibal, Gore, Forson, Shoretire, Hansen-Aaroen, McNeill.
Wrexham
After returning to EFL for the first time in 14 years, Wrexham is preparing for a big season visiting the United States. They recently lost to Chelsea with a 5-0 score while defeating the reserve team of LA Galaxy with four goals in the net. Will Boyle is currently the only new player on the team, but the club's management will look to bring some extra help before the season starts in less than two weeks. Phil Parkinson will continue to coach the team in the new season.
Predicted lineup: Foster, O'Connell, Tozer, O'Connor, Forde, Jones, Cannon, Lee, Mendy, Dalby, Mullin.
Player to Watch: Jadon Sancho
It hasn't been the best last season for Jadon Sancho, the former Borussia Dortmund winger didn't produce at the level that the club expected and there will be a lot to prove for the talented player as the new season approaches. Erik ten Hag already showed that he won't tolerate mediocrity, especially from one of the highest-valued players on the team.
Sancho scored in the last friendly match win against Arsenal and during his time at United, a total of 79 games, he scored 12 times and delivered six assists which many consider is not good enough for a player of his caliber. Sancho has been capped by England national team 23 times scoring three goals.
Starting lineups
