Manchester United scored have struggled for goals in 2024/25, with their 12 in the Premier League no better than newly-promoted Ipswich.
With this in mind, it's no surprise Man United striker targets are re-emerging.

This is despite strikers Rasmus Hojlund, 21, and Joshua Zirkzee, 23, being signed in consecutive summers. The latter was a £35m signing this transfer window.
Hojlund is still very raw and has suffered from injuries, while Zirkzee has struggled to adapt to Premier League football.
He is already being linked with a move back to Serie A
Man United striker targets: Our top three candidates

Viktor Gyokeres
Topping our list is, of course, Viktor Gyokeres. The powerful Swede was good at Coventry City, but has exploded at Sporting CP, with 55 goals and 14 assists in 57 games since his 2023 move.
Gyokeres, 26, has thrived under the management of new United boss Ruben Amorim. Could he follow his manager back to England?
The prolific striker is believed to have a release clause of £83m. United may have to trigger it to beat the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea to their man.
Benjamin Sesko
Manchester United were one of a host of clubs linked with Slovenian striker Benjamin Sesko this summer, before the 21-year-old opted to stay at RB Leipzig.
His time in the Bundesliga is still largely seen as a springboard to Europe's elite, however, and many clubs, including United and Arsenal, are still keeping tabs on his situation.
Sesko is stylistically similar to Gyokeres, but perhaps offers a better age profile, at five years younger. He could mature alongside the likes of Kobbie Mainoo, Leny Yoro and Alejandro Garnacho into a fine core.

Victor Osimhen
A move that will have to wait until the summer, but is tantalising nonetheless is a swoop for Victor Osimhen.
Still just 25, Osimhen was exiled from Napoli's squad by new boss Antonio Conte in favour of Romelu Lukaku.
The Nigerian is currently on loan at Galatasaray, where he has eight goals and three assists in nine games.
Osimhen could reportedly be purchased for as little as £62m this summer, potentially a bargain for United.
