🔥 Our Hot tip

Man City to win (-1 handicap)

Man City's last five victories have been by a margin of two goals or more.

Man City will take on Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday, 9 November, a huge Premier League fixture before the November international break.

With Arsenal currently six points clear of City and seven clear of Liverpool, this should be regarded as a must-win fixture for both sides, which sets us up for a thriller in Manchester.

As part of this week's round of Premier League betting tips, check out our Man City vs Liverpool prediction below.

Man City vs Liverpool prediction: Man City to turn it on

Key Stats

  • Liverpool have lost four of their last five Premier League matches.
  • Man City have won all but one of their home matches this season by a margin of two goals or more.
  • Both teams have scored in each of Man City's last three matches in all competitions.

Correct score prediction: Man City 3-1 Liverpool

While Liverpool were impressive against Real Madrid on Tuesday night, Manchester City have been in far better form than the Reds over the last month. Pep Guardiola's side are getting close to their best, while Liverpool's away form is worse than average.

Most recent H2Hs: Advantage Liverpool

Liverpool completed a league double over Man City last season, winning to nil in both fixtures. Beyond that, the Reds are now unbeaten in their last four matches against the Cityzens. Some would say that City owe Liverpool one on Sunday.

Man City preview: Rodri to miss out?

Manchester City are likely to be without Rodri on Sunday afternoon, with the midfielder expected to rest now until after the international break. The Spaniard is joined in the treatment room by Croatian Mateo Kovacic, who is nursing a long-term ankle problem.

Last five results

  • Man City 4-1 Borussia Dortmund

Liverpool preview: Will Isak be ready?

Arne Slot is in no rush to get Alexander Isak back fit after a couple of better Liverpool performances without the Swede. In any case, the former Newcastle man is expected to be left out due to an ongoing groin injury. Slot is also without Jeremie Frimpong, Giovanni Leoni and Alisson for the trip to Manchester.

Predicted lineup: Mamardashvili (GK), Bradley, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson, Gravenberch, Mac Allister, Szoboszlai, Salah, Wirtz, Ekitike

Last five results

  • Liverpool 1-0 Real Madrid
  • Liverpool 2-0 Aston Villa
  • Liverpool 0-3 Crystal Palace
  • Brentford 3-2 Liverpool
  • Frankfurt 1-5 Liverpool

Player to watch: Erling Haaland

Liverpool managed to keep Kylian Mbappe from scoring on Tuesday, but they will have to be even better to keep Haaland out. City's number 9 needs just two more goals to reach 100 Premier League goals. If he does manage to score those goals in any of his next 17 appearances, then he will become the quickest player in PL history to do so.
