At Least One 100% Record will End on Sunday

Manchester City Raheem Sterling

Man City got their Premier League season off to a flying start with a 3-1 away win at Wolves. The trip to Molyneux was expected to be very difficult for Guardiola's men, but goals from De Bruyne and Foden put the visitors 2-0 up at the break. Wolves made changes late in the second half and pulled a goal back immediately through Mexican striker Raul Jimenez. However, Man City responded well and restored their two-goal advantage deep into stoppage time through Gabriel Jesus.

Leicester looked to build on their 3-0 demolition of West Brom at home to Burnley on Sunday and did just that. Chris Wood scored the game's first goal to put Burnley in front, but the teams went in level at the break thanks to a 20th-minute equaliser from Harvey Barnes. Luck was on Leicester's side when early in the second half, Pieters put through his own net to hand the Foxes the lead. Defender Justin then extended Leicester's lead just after the hour mark before Burnley pulled a goal back to make it 3-2. The hosts made sure of the 3pts 11-minutes from time when Belgium international Praet only his second league goal to make the final scoreline 4-2.

Top of the table Leicester ahead on goal difference

Leicester sit top of the table heading into this weekend's clash with Man City, thanks to their +5 goal difference, but there are still six other teams with 100% records. At least one of these two clubs will lose their 100% record on Sunday, and we're expecting an entertaining and competitive 90-minutes between two clubs that are full of confidence.

History suggests that City will win the game as they have claimed five wins from their last six matches against Leicester in all competitions. The hosts claimed wins in 15 of their 19 league games last season and secured the domestic double over the Foxes. It's difficult to see Leicester winning at the Eithad as they have only managed to win one of their last seven away games against Man City.

However, with three of the last five Premier League encounters between these two sides seeing goals go in at both ends of the pitch, Leicester are in with a good chance of scoring and making a game of it at the Etihad. The Foxes have scored 7-goals in their opening two matches and look at their best when attacking, which isn't a surprise when you have last season's top scorer in your ranks. Jamie Vardy netted 23-goals in the Premier League to claim the Golden Boot award and doesn't look like slowing down this season, despite being 33-years old.

Team News

Argentine striker Sergio Aguero will miss this weekend's game with a knee injury and isn't expected back in the City fold until the end of October. Playmaker Iikay Gundogan has also been ruled out of City's clash with Leicester through injury, and a thigh injury means Bernado Silva won't play either. Defenders Aymeric Laporte and Eric Garcia will both face late fitness tests and could return for the hosts.

Ricardo Pereira will once again miss out for the Foxes due to a knee injury that looks set to keep the defender out until late November. Jonny Evans is rated as highly doubtful to feature at the Etihad due to an issue with his thigh, while Filip Benkovic won't face City as he is sidelined with a groin problem.
