FW Predictions for Man City vs Leicester

Here are our Premier League predictions for Saturday's late kick-off from the Etihad Stadium as Man City take on struggling Leicester. Dean Smith couldn't have asked for a tougher start to life as the new Foxes manager but the former Aston Villa boss will be hoping to spring a few surprises that help his side pick up a positive result. Guardiola's side simply have to keep on winning and hope that Arsenal slip-up between now and the end of the season if they are going to secure yet another Premier League title.

Man City to Win-to-Nil

Our first Man City vs Leicester prediction is for a home win and a clean sheet. Man City have won five of their last seven encounters with Leicester, running out 1-0 winners when the pair locked horns at the King Power Stadium in October. Of those five victories, Man city have kept and impressive four clean sheets and we're backing Guardiola's men to keep things tight at the back once again this weekend.

Erling Haaland to Score First

Our second Man City vs Leicester prediction is for Erling Haaland to score the first goal of the game. Haaland has taken the Premier League by storm in his debut season at Man City. The Norwegian striker moved on to 30 league goals for the season when he scored against Southampton last time out. Leicester have been in dire form of late and even though they have a new manager at the helm, we're confident that things will go Man City's way this weekend and that Haaland will open the scoring.

Man City vs Leicester Lineups

Man City

Man City were in top form last time out as they put struggling Southampton to the sword at St Mary's. Haaland scored a brace and both Grealish and Alvarez chipped in with a goal each as Guardiola's side ran out 4-1 winners. Phil Foden is the only injury concern for the home side this weekend as the England man continues his recovery from surgery.

Predicted Lineup – Ederson (GK), Aké, Stones, Dias, Akanji, Gündoğan, De Bruyne, Grealish, Rodri, Mahrez & Haaland

Leicester

The Foces hit a new low last weekend when they lost 1-0 in their own backyard to fellow strugglers Bournemouth. Biling scored the only goal of the game after a mistake from Maddison in the 40th minute. Justin, Tielemans, Barnes, Bertrand and Vestergaard are all injury concerns for the visitors but Dean Smith will welcome the return of Dewsbury-Hall following a brief suspension.

Predicted Lineup – Iversen (GK), Pereira, Amartey, Castagne, Faes, Kristiansen, Ndidi, Maddison, Soumaré, Barnes & Vardy

Player to Watch: Erling Haaland

Not many strikers finish any league season scoring more goals than games played in but Man City's Erling Haaland might well achieve that feet.

The 22-year-old has scored 30-goals in the Premier League this season but has only featured in 27 games. The Norwegian forward is back in top form following a slight lull in February, netting 13-goals in his last 8-matches in all competitions, including 5 goals against RB Leipzig.

We're expecting another big game for Haaland when he goes up against a fragile Leicester defence this weekend where the striker will likely add to his goals tally for the season.
