🔥 Our Hot tip

Everton +2 handicap

Everton haven't lost any of their PL matches this season by a margin of two goals or more.

Man City will take on Everton in the Premier League on Saturday, 18 October, with both teams looking for a win as the league gets back underway following the international break.

The hosts will feel right back in the title mix after results went their way just before the break, but can't afford to slip up here if they are to successfully put pressure on Liverpool and Arsenal.

For Everton, this is a little bit of a free hit, but they have been largely good so far this season, so they could easily make this a tricky fixture for Man City.

As part of this week's round of Premier League betting tips, check out our Man City vs Everton prediction below.

Man City vs Everton prediction: The Toffees to dig in

Key Stats

  • Everton have avoided defeat in five of their last six Premier League matches.
  • Man City failed to beat Everton in their last meeting at the Etihad Stadium.
  • A total of 11 goals have been scored across the three PL matches played at the Etihad Stadium this season.

Correct score prediction: Man City 2-1 Everton

Man City are a little bit unpredictable at the moment, whereas you know you are going to get a dogged performance from this David Moyes Everton team. The extra quality of Man City should shine through, but we don't think it will be straightforward.

Man City preview: Rodri a doubt once more

Rodri is a serious doubt for this fixture after hobbling off with a hamstring injury just before the international break. In better news, Guardiola could welcome back Omar Marmoush, Abdukodir Khusanov and Rayan Ait-Nouri, with the trio back in training following injury layoffs.

Predicted lineup: Donnarumma (GK), Khusanov, Dias, Gvardiol, O’Reilly, Gonzalez, Foden, Bernardo, Reijnders, Doku, Haaland

Last five results

  • Brentford 0-1 Man City
  • Monaco 2-2 Man City
  • Man City 5-1 Burnley
  • Huddersfield 0-2 Man City
  • Arsenal 1-1 Man City

Everton preview: No Grealish

Everton will have to line up with their talisman, Jack Grealish, due to the fact that Man City are his parent club. Grealish isn't the only absentee for Everton, with Michael Keane, Merlin Rohlh and Jarrad Branthwaite all nursing injuries. In better news, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is available again after serving his one-match suspension.

Predicted lineup: Pickford (GK), O’Brien, Keane, Tarkowski, Mykolenko, Garner, Gueye, Dibling, Dewsbury-Hall, Ndiaye, Beto

Last five results

  • Everton 2-1 Crystal Palace
  • Everton 1-1 West Ham
  • Wolves 2-0 Everton
  • Liverpool 2-1 Everton
  • Everton 0-0 Aston Villa

Player to watch: Erling Haaland

It's difficult to talk about anyone other than Erling Haaland right now when it comes to Manchester City, such is the form of the big man. Haaland has somehow already scored 21 goals for club and country since the beginning of the season and we are still only in October.
