FW Malta vs England Predictions
Here are our Euro 2024 predictions for Friday's qualifier between Malta and England in Group C. Southgate's men will be expected to continue their 100% record in Group C when they take on a Malta side that have lost their opening two matches. These two nations have locked horns five times since 1971 and as you might expect, England have won on each of those occasions.

Malta vs England Lineups and Last Match
Malta
Malta's last match, a friendly away at Luxembourg, proved very successful as Marcolini's men won against the odds. Substitute Nwoko scored the only goal of the game in the 64th-minute as Malta held firm at the back to pick up a rare victory. Malta are yet to pick up a point in the Euro 2023 qualifiers and nobody is expecting them to avoid defeat against England on Friday.
Predicted Lineup – Bonello (GK), Borg, Muscat, Apap, Camenzuli, Guillaumier, Grech, Yankam, Montebello, Mbong & Jones
England
England's last match, back in March, saw Southagte's men run out comfortable 2-0 winners against Ukraine in their second Euro 2024 qualifier. Kane and Saka scored the goals, both in the first half, as England maintained their 100% record in Group C. There is no Chilwell, James, Bellingham, Mount or Sterling for Southgate this time around. Instead, Maddison, Wilson, Eze, Gallagher and Guehi will be hoping to have done enough to earn a place in the starting eleven or at least feature from the bench on Friday.
Predicted Lineup – Pickford (GK), Walker, Maguire, Stones, Shaw, Henderson, Maddison, Rice, Saka, Rashford & Kane

Player to Watch: Harry Kane
England's all-time top-scorer will be desperate to add to his tally when England make the trip to Malta on Friday.
With 55-goals to his name, England's best-ever striker is the obvious choice to score against Malta, especially as he already has 2-goals in the opening two qualifying matches for his country.
Kane enjoyed another fantastic season in front of goal for his club side Tottenham, even though Spurs had a poor season by their own usual standards. There is plenty of talk that Kane is in the shop window this summer with Real Madrid linked to the striker, so Kane will be looking to impress at every opportunity to increase his chances of earning a big money move.
