Real Madrid have been struggling with form in attack since the arrival of Kylian Mbappe this summer. The 15-time Champions League winners are now considering signing Atalanta’s Lookman next summer.
As per CaughtOffside, Lookman is an indispensable player for Atalanta and they have no intention of letting the player leave. However, if a sale is to be considered, it would take around €60-€70 million (£50-58.2m).
CaughtOffside are not very well known for their transfer stories, however, there may be some truth to this report.

While Real Madrid have no real issues with their financial books ,an asking price of €60-€70 million is a bit too much for any club to consider. Especially a club like Real Madrid who are already stacked with offensive options.
Lookman has a number of suitors at the moment and Real Madrid may likely have to get involved in a bidding war for the Nigerian which may increase his overall price.
Suitability (2/5): Real Madrid need a striker but Lookman not it
Real Madrid’s struggles this season have directly come from a lack of a natural striker in their attack with Mbappe, Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo not adept at playing that position to its true nature
While Lookman is a striker, he is not somebody who would be a perfect fit in the side as he is not a true striker but more of a second striker who can aid the attack progress centrally but won’t help them score goals or draw away defenders for the wingers and Jude Bellingham to arrive into the box.

Real Madrid have Mbappe, Rodrygo and Jude Bellingham who can play a role that Lookman would likely fill, and with all respect to the Atalanta star, all three of them are way too good to be displaced by himLookman. Los Blancos also have Endrick in their squad to call on as the backup.
Logic (0.5/5): Move makes no sense for Lookman
Lookman is in top form for Atalanta and he has a lot of suitors at the moment, and he would be an upgrade for almost all of them. However, going to Madrid may be a good move but not in terms of development as minutes will be sparse.
For Madrid, spending the amount of money that Atalanta demand, and maybe more, makes no sense when they already have some of the best attackers in the world.

Real Madrid may be interested in Lookman as he is an immensely talented forward, however, they are very unlikely to actually make a move for the Nigerian.
Lookman may be playing his last season with Atalanta, and he will likely make a move to a top club next summer as he looks to continue developing and make strides into regular appearances in the Champions League.
