Rangers to win (-2 handicap)

Three of Rangers' last four victories in all competitions have been by a margin of three goals or more.

Livingston will take on Rangers on Sunday, 22 February, with the visitors now on the brink of reaching the top of the Scottish Premiership league table.

Following their 4-2 victory over Hearts last weekend, the gap between Rangers and the league leaders is just two points, so they will go top if they beat Livingston and Hearts fail to defeat Falkirk.

As part of this week's round of Scottish Premiership betting tips, check out our Livingston vs Rangers prediction below.

Livingston vs Rangers prediction: Gers to run riot

Key Stats

  • Rangers have taken 26 points from the last 30 available in the Scottish Premiership.
  • Livingston haven't won a match since the second weekend of the season.
  • Livingston have failed to score in five of their last seven matches against Rangers.

Correct score prediction: Livingston 0-3 Rangers

Livingston are sinking to the second tier without trace and now have very little to play for. The opposite can be said for Rangers, who will be bang up for this one with the title now well within their reach.

Pre-game odds and win probability: The hosts are major underdogs

  • HOME: 13/2 (7.50) – 13.3%
  • DRAW: 4/1 (5.00) – 20%
  • AWAY: 2/5 (1.40) – 71.4%

*odds from Ladbrokes, subject to change

The Livingston vs Rangers odds are heavily weighted in favour of the visitors, which shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone. Ladbrokes have given Livingston just a 13.3% chance of winning the match, while Rangers have been given a 71.4% chance of victory.

Most recent H2Hs: Rangers domination

Rangers are unbeaten across their last 22 matches against Livingston (20 wins, two draws), which should fill the hosts with plenty of dread ahead of kick-off. The last time Livi managed to get one over Rangers was in September 2018 during Rangers' first season back in the Scottish Premiership.

Livingston preview: Two players ruled out

One of the saddest things about Livingston's current plight in the Scottish Premiership is that they can't even blame an injury crisis. For the match against Rangers on Sunday, Livi are only going to be without Connor Mclennan and Aidan Denholm, which isn't bad going for this time of year.

Predicted lineup: Prior (GK), Kabongolo, Wilson, McGowan, Finlayson, Pittman, Danso, Sylla, Montano, Smith, Muirhead

Last five results

  • Dundee 2-2 Livingston (Scottish Premiership)
  • Celtic 2-1 Livingston (Scottish Premiership)
  • Livingston 1-2 Falkirk (Scottish Premiership)
  • Livingston 0-2 Motherwell (Scottish Premiership)
  • Aberdeen 6-2 Livingston (Scottish Premiership)

Rangers preview: Injuries won't stop them

Danny Rohl is dealing with more injury concerns than his opposite number, but that is highly unlikely to have an impact on Sunday. Connor Barron, Bailey Rice and Max Aarons have all been officially ruled out, while there are also doubts over Dujon Sterling and Ryan Naderi.

Predicted lineup: Butland (GK), Sterling, Souttar, Fernandez, Rommens, Raskin, Chukwuani, Skov Olsen, Moore, Naderi, Chermiti

Last five results

  • Rangers 4-2 Hearts (Scottish Premiership)
  • Motherwell 1-1 Rangers (Scottish Premiership)
  • Rangers 8-0 Queen's Park (Scottish Cup)
  • Rangers 5-1 Kilmarnock (Scottish Premiership)
  • Hibernian 0-0 Rangers (Scottish Premiership)

Player to watch: Youssef Chermiti

Youssef Chermiti has not had the best of debut seasons at Rangers, but could last week's performance against Hearts be a turning point for the former Everton man? Chermiti starred in Gers' 4-2 victory, scoring a hat-trick as Rohl's men took a giant step towards winning the title.
