Andoni Iraola's first Champions League game as a manager ended in victory, as Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister cancelled out Marcos Llorente's early Atletico goal.
It is now two wins in a row for Liverpool after starting the season with two draws, and they will feel confident of a third victory against struggling Fulham on home soil.
The Reds got another glimpse of £123m signing Bradley Barcola at Anfield in midweek, but it will take him time to settle after missing a couple of big chances and going off injured.
It is unclear whether the Frenchman will be fit enough to start this one, while Milos Kerkez has also emerged as an injury doubt.
Fulham have no fresh injury concerns themselves, although Tom Cairney continues to be ruled out.
His leadership is missing on the pitch, with new manager Alvaro Arbeloa struggling to get the right balance in his team.
Outside of a 3-0 win at home to lower-league AFC Wimbledon in the Carabao Cup, the Cottagers have lost their first three league matches, with fears of relegation gathering pace.
Fulham's recent record at Anfield is poor too – having not won there since March 2021 – so it will take a minor miracle for them to beat Liverpool.

Whispers predicts: Liverpool 2-1 Fulham
Liverpool are 9/20 (1.45) favourites to win, but while we agree with the bookies, we want to explore other bets.
BTTS – Yes at 8/13 (1.62) immediately jumps out, as Liverpool have kept just one clean sheet this season while Fulham have scored in all but one of their matches in all competitions.
With three goals across his last two league games, Alexander Isak to score anytime at 1/1 (2.00) also appeals, while we are also backing the Correct score – 2-1 at 17/2 (9.50) as Liverpool have been unable to blow teams away at Anfield in recent encounters, in fact drawing their last three home league games stretching back to last season.
> BTTS – Yes at 8/13 (1.62) | Likelihood: Probable
> Isak to score anytime at 1/1 (2.00) | Likelihood: Possible
> Correct score – 2-1 at 17/2 (9.50) | Likelihood: Outsider
