Both teams have lost just one league game this season.

A blockbuster Premier League clash awaits as fourth-placed Liverpool host second-placed Arsenal at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.

Both teams suffered contrasting fates in the Carabao Cup in midweek, as the Reds beat Chelsea on home soil via a penalty shootout.

Meanwhile, Arsenal were dumped out by League Two Fleetwood Town on their travels via the same method.

Liverpool are quietly going about their business under Andoni Iraola.

The Reds have won their last five games in all competitions and are in a promising position to win silverware.

Having gone through in the Carabao Cup, they are also perfect in the Champions League so far and just six points behind in the Premier League title race.

A win here would cut the gap to Arsenal to just three, and Liverpool could do that with Dominik Szoboszlai and Victor Munoz, who both have a chance of returning from injury.

Injury news was also promising on Arsenal's end, as Declan Rice, Christos Tzolis and Riccardo Calafiori have trained and should be available.

Noni Madueke needs to be assesses though, while Max Dowman is suspended after his red card against Fleetwood.

With Bukayo Saka also injured, it leaves Mikel Arteta light of attacking options, which could hurt them here on a ground they have notoriously struggled on.

Indeed, the Gunners have not won in the league at Anfield since 2012, when Arteta was playing for the club.

Whispers predicts: Liverpool 1-1 Arsenal

Arsenal are 6/4 (2.50) favourites, but given Liverpool's strong form and home head-to-head record, we are happy to back against the bookies, and you can too using the best new UK betting sites.

The Draw at 5/2 (3.50) appeals, while Under 2.5 goals at 1/1 (2.00) could also come through as both teams have conceded just four goals in their last five league games.

Bruno Guimaraes has scored some big goals for Arsenal already this season, and boasts three goal contributions in his previous four league appearances against Liverpool (G1, A2).

Guimaraes to score or assist at 10/3 (4.33) is therefore our final punt, while our correct score prediction of 1-1 is also available at 13/2 (7.50).
