The season is not yet over for PSG, who lead Ligue 1 and remain in contention for a Champions League and domestic double. Behind the scenes, however, the sporting directorate is already working on next season — with several players' futures very much up in the air.

Two positions identified as priorities

According to L'Equipe, PSG have identified centre-back and striker as their two priority areas for the summer window. The uncertainty surrounding captain Marquinhos and Ballon d'Or holder Ousmane Dembele is a significant factor in both.

The former could leave this summer if that is his wish, according to the French daily, while Dembele's situation revolves around the gap between his current deal — expiring June 2028 — and his wage demands. The sporting directorate are said to be confident of eventually bridging that gap, buoyed by the form Dembele has shown this season.

Barcola ‘a question mark' at PSG

L'Equipe also reports that two further players could leave Paris this summer — Bradley Barcola and Senny Mayulu. Barcola is described as a ‘question mark': the former Lyon winger has been approached over an extension, with his contract also running until June 2028, but negotiations have not progressed. If he continues to respond negatively to the club's overtures, his future could lie away from the French capital as early as this summer.

Liverpool were reported by TEAMtalk in March to be among those monitoring Barcola — alongside Desire Doue. The Reds would have the financial means to meet PSG's demands if the door opens this summer, with the French winger's market value estimated at between £51m and £68m.
