Levante preview: Eyeing their first home win

Coach Julian Fernandez will not be able to call on the services of Diego Pampin this weekend as the left-back is sidelined with a thigh injury, while there are also doubts surrounding the availability of Alan Matturro.

That said, Fernandez will be pleased to have Etta Eyong back from international duty with Cameroon without injury, and will prepare to unleash the youngster alongside his strike partner Ivan Romero in a 4-4-2 setup, as Levante eye back-to-back league wins for the first time this season.

Predicted lineup: Ryan (GK), Toljan, Adri, Moreno, Sanchez, Alvarez, Arriaga, Vencedor Brugue, Eyong & Romero.

Last five matches

  • Leganes 3-3 Levante (4-3 AP)
  • Real Oviedo 0-2 Levante
  • Getafe 1-1 Levante
  • Levante 1-4 Real Madrid
  • Girona 0-4 Levante

Rayo Vallecano preview: Sights set on their third consecutive victory

As for Rayo, there will be a couple of absentees this weekend, including Luiz Felipe, who has not recovered from a hamstring injury, Abdul Mumin, who is sidelined with cruciate ligament problem while Sergio Camello is suspended for a red card against Sevilla on 28 September.

The visitors will be counting on the experience of centre-backs Pathe Ciss and Florian Lejuene to halt the attacking threat posed by nine-goal forwards Eyong and Romero in this clash, while hoping that Isi Palazon and Jorge de Frutos cause some needed damage to the hosts.

Predicted lineup: Batalla (GK), Chavarria, Vertrouwd, Lejuene, Ratiu, Valentin, Lopez, Garcia, Palazon, De Frutos & Alemao.

Last five matches

  • Real Sociedad 0-1 Rayo Vallecano
  • Rayo Vallecano 2-0 Shkendija
  • Rayo Vallecano 0-1 Sevilla
  • Atletico Madrid 3-2 Rayo Vallecano
  • Rayo Vallecano 1-1 Celta Vigo
