Man Utd to win and BTTS

Manchester United have conceded in each of their last three victories.

Leicester City will welcome Man Utd to the King Power Stadium on Sunday, 16 March in a huge match for the hosts in their battle to beat relegation.

The Foxes come into the match six points behind Wolves in 17th position and with just ten games of the season remaining they need to start cutting into that gap urgently.

Man Utd, meanwhile, have very little to play for in the Premier League but it's important for their form to improve to increase the confidence in Ruben Amorim's project.

As part of this week's round of Premier League betting tips, check out our Leicester vs Man Utd prediction below.

Leicester vs Man Utd prediction: The Red Devils to come out on top

Key Stats

  • Among managers with 15+ Premier League games in charge of a club, only Mick McCarthy's Sunderland (84%) & Russell Martin's Southampton (81%) have a higher loss percentage than Ruud van Nistelrooy's Leicester (80%).
  • Manchester United are unbeaten in their last six matches in all competitions and both teams have scored in each one.
  • More than two goals have been scored in two of Man Utd's last three Premier League matches.

Correct score prediction: Leicester 1-2 Man Utd

Leicester have only scored one goal in their last eight Premier League matches, but that was against Tottenham, so that suggests they are a team that perhaps performs best against the league's ‘bigger' clubs. Man Utd are beginning to find their feet under Amorim, though, and they should have enough to get the win here.

Pre-game odds and win probability: Odds stacked against the visitors

  • HOME: 3/1 (4.00) – 25%
  • DRAW: 27/10 (3.70) – 27%
  • AWAY: 5/6 (1.83) – 54.5%

*odds from Ladbrokes, subject to change

The Leicester vs Man Utd odds are perhaps a little surprising in that Man Utd aren't priced as short as you might expect given Leicester have lost 12 of their last 13 league matches. Ladbrokes have still made the Red Devils the favourites and have given them a 54.5% chance of victory while Leicester have been given a 25% chance of picking up all three points.

Most recent H2Hs: Man Utd domination

Man Utd have an excellent record against Leicester City and have won their last five matches against the Foxes in all competitions. Interestingly, two of those five victories came when Van Nistelrooy was in the dugout as the interim Man Utd boss. This time around, the Dutchman will be in the Leicester dugout and desperate to deny his former team.

Leicester preview: Is the writing on the wall?

With every passing week, the decision to appoint Van Nistelrooy looks like a bad one and the Foxes have now lost 12 of the 15 matches the Dutchman has taken charge of. It's perhaps too late to make a change now but if they take another beating on Sunday night, then the board may well cut their losses.

Man Utd preview: Is the tide turning?

It's been a tough watch under Amorim so far at Man Utd, but there have been signs of progress in recent weeks. The club's 4-1 win over Real Sociedad on Thursday night was their best performance so far under the Portuguese manager and they will be keen to follow that up with another win on Sunday.

Player to watch: Joshua Zirkzee

Joshua Zirkzee endured a difficult start to his Man Utd career but he has been shown flashes of brilliance in recent months which suggest he may have a future at the club after all. The fact remains that the Dutchman needs to score more goals and he will fancy his chances of getting on the scoresheet against one of the league's worst defences on Sunday.
