🔥 Our Hot tip

Leeds or draw

Tottenham have failed to win each of their last eight league matches that have followed a European fixture.

Leeds will take on Tottenham in the Premier League on Saturday, 4 October, in a match between two teams in decent form.

The hosts have won or drawn three of their last four Premier League matches and are showing plenty of fight during the early stages of the new season.

The visitors are also doing better than expected and have lost just one of the nine matches they have played in all competitions so far.

As part of this week's round of Premier League betting tips, check out our Leeds vs Tottenham prediction below.

Leeds vs Tottenham prediction: The hosts to take something

Key Stats

  • Leeds have lost just one of their last five matches in all competitions.
  • Leeds are unbeaten at home this season.
  • Tottenham have won just one of their last four matches in all competitions.

Correct score prediction: Leeds 1-1 Tottenham

Leeds have already proven that they aren't going to be a soft touch this season, and this is a tough assignment for Tottenham on the back of an away Champions League fixture. Their recent record in matches immediately following a European match is so poor that it makes it nearly impossible to predict them to win this match.

Pre-game odds and win probability: Tottenham start as the narrow favourites

  • HOME: 7/4 (2.75) – 36.4%
  • DRAW: 12/5 (3.40) – 29.4%
  • AWAY: 29/20 (2.45) – 40.8%

*odds from Ladbrokes, subject to change

The Leeds vs Tottenham odds are weighted in favour of the away team, but not by as big a margin as you might expect. Ladbrokes have given Leeds a 36.4% chance of winning the match, while Tottenham have been given a 40.8% chance of securing the three points.

Leeds preview: Darlow to continue

Karl Darlow will continue between the sticks for Leeds on Saturday, with first-choice goalkeeper Lucas Perri still unavailable due to a muscle injury. Leeds also have problems at the top of the pitch, with Daniel James and Willy Gnonto both ruled out of this one with ankle and calf injuries, respectively.

Predicted lineup: Darlow (GK), Bogle, Rodon, Struijk, Gudmundsson, Ampadu, Stach, Longstaff, Aaronson, Calvert-Lewin, Okafor

Last five results

  • Leeds 2-2 Bournemouth
  • Wolves 1-3 Leeds
  • Fulham 1-0 Leeds
  • Leeds 0-0 Newcastle
  • Sheffield Wednesday 1-1 Leeds

Tottenham preview: Tired legs are expected

Tottenham come into this match with plenty of tired legs after a gruelling Champions League fixture in Norway earlier in the week. Thomas Frnak is expected to rotate his team, with the likes of Xavi Simons, Mohammed Kudus and Destiny Udogie all expected to come into the starting XI.

Predicted lineup: Vicario (GK), Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Udogie, Palhinha, Sarr, Bergvall, Kudus, Tel, Simons

Last five results

  • Bodo/Glimt 2-2 Tottenham
  • Tottenham 1-1 Wolves
  • Tottenham 3-0 Doncaster
  • Brighton 2-2 Tottenham
  • Tottenham 1-0 Villarreal

Player to watch: Mohammed Kudus

Mohammed Kudus was the first signing of the Thomas Frank era, and the former West Ham winger has done okay so far in a Tottenham shirt. The 25-year-old has provided three assists in six league outings for his new club so far, and he will now be keen to get his first goal.
