🔥 Our Hot tip

Draw

Both teams have lost just once in seven games in all competitions.

A win for Brighton & Hove Albion will put them firmly in contention to qualify for the Champions League for the first time in their history as they face Leeds United at Elland Road in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

The Seagulls beat Wolverhampton Wanderers 3-0 on home soil last time out, and will be hoping for another victory when they travel up north.

Leeds will not be easy to beat though on recent form, and held Tottenham to a 1-1 draw away from home last time out.

Leeds confirmed their Premier League safety in the last gameweek, a great achievement for a promoted side given the fates of those prior to them in recent seasons.

Daniel Farke has managed to turn it around after he was under pressure at the start of the campaign, and they even also managed to reach an FA Cup semi-final.

Unfortunately, they lost that 1-0 to Chelsea, meaning they will not play in Saturday afternoon's final, but supporters can still look forward to the two league games left to finish the season.

Leeds do have somewhat of an injury crisis though, with Gabriel Gudmundsson, Ilia Gruev, Jayden Bogle and Noah Okafor all out, while Pascal Struijk and Ethan Ampadu are doubts, and Facundo Buonanotte is ineligible.

As for Brighton, Kaoru Mitoma unfortunately suffered an injury that will keep him out of their final two matches, although Diego Gomez and Mats Wieffer could both return.

The Seagulls are still in the hunt for Champions league football after beating Wolves, although it is not in their hands.

Still, any form of European football will be celebrated on the south coast for a club of its relative size compared to the rest of the league, and Fabian Hurzeler's side are in pole position to do so.

After signing a new contract, Hurzeler will be hoping to continue to build his squad and sustain European challenges in the future, but for now, his focus will be on trying to beat a stubborn Leeds side away from home.

Whispers predicts: Leeds United 2-2 Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton are 23/20 favourites to win, but given Leeds' strong form, especially at home, we are willing to back against the Seagulls here.

The Draw at 11/4 appeals to us, as both teams boast nearly identical records across their last five matches.

Having scored 11 goals each in those five outings, BTTS – Yes at 4/7 also seems an obvious pick.

In the same vein, Over 3.5 goals at 37/20 could also come through as a final punt, while our 2-2 draw prediction is available at 12/1.
