We are now into the final month of the 2025/26 Premier League season, and with the summer now looming large, the transfer rumour mill is in overdrive.
Several Premier League clubs are expected to go big during the summer, and there will be a desire to get deals done before the World Cup begins on 11 June.
Below, we run through the biggest transfer headlines of the day.

Manchester United are expected to prioritise a midfield signing this summer, and if the latest reports are to be believed, they are not limiting their search to European football.
According to a report in Brazilian outlet Fogaonet, the Red Devils have entered the race to sign Danilo from Botafogo. The midfielder, who has become a regular in the Brazilian national team under Carlo Ancelotti, is said to be high on United's list of targets this summer.
Danilo has scored nine goals from midfield this season and is valued by Botafogo at £34m. However, the Brazilian side are keen to wait until after the World Cup before accepting any bid.
There is no doubt that Man Utd need midfield reinforcements this summer, but shopping in South America is risky business. If this one comes off, United will need to be patient with the 25-year-old.
Arsenal prepare bid for Julian Alvarez

Stories linking Arsenal with a move for Julian Alvarez refuse to go away, and the latest reports indicate that the Gunners are now preparing an official bid for early in the summer.
According to La Nacion, Arsenal are prepared to pay £86m to bring Alvarez back to the Premier League and believe that something around that figure could be enough to persuade the Spanish side to sell.
The biggest stumbling block for Arsenal is Barcelona. The Catalans are also keen on Alvarez, and the former Man City man would prioritise a move to the Camp Nou over anything else.
It feels inevitable that Arsenal will be back in the market for a new striker this season, but signing a player who has his heart set on a move elsewhere often fails to work out.
PL giants to battle it out for Daniel Svensson

Almost every club in the Premier League could do with a new left-back this summer, which makes Borussia Dortmund's Daniel Svensson an interesting option.
The left-back is said to be a top target for Leeds United, Arsenal and Liverpool, with the latter two leading the race for his signature.
According to a report in Fussballdaten, Dortmund are expecting Svensson to leave this summer, but they are hoping for a bidding war to maximise their profits.
AC Milan, Atalanta and Inter Milan are also monitoring the situation, so Dortmund may well get their wish.
