Leeds United monitoring Chibuike Nwaiwu

Struggling Premier League outfit Leeds United are keeping close tabs on Austrian Bundesliga defender Chibuike Nwaiwu ahead of the January transfer window, according to news outlet Top Mercato.
The 22-year-old plays his club football for Wolfsberger and boasts an estimated value of £6m, according to specialist website Transfermarkt.
Nwaiwu is under contract until the summer of 2027, with the likes of Bayer Leverkusen, Paris Saint-Germain and Marseille making recent enquiries about the centre-back.
On top of his impressive performances in Austria, the Nigerian defender is also wanted for his versatility, with the player capable of operating as a defensive midfielder.
Man City face goalkeeping revolt

After being demoted from the starting lineup to the subs bench, Manchester City goalkeeper James Trafford is looking to leave the Etihad Stadium this January, according to the Daily Mail.
The Citizens paid £27m to bring Trafford back to the club from Burnley during the summer transfer window, though after playing a few games, he was ultimately benched in favour of another new arrival – Gianluigi Donnarumma.
Newcastle, who were one of the teams bidding for Trafford in the summer, are reportedly ready to go back into the market for the 23-year-old.
In a further blow for City, German goalkeeper Stefan Ortega is also looking for a change of surroundings this January. Since joining the club in 2022, the 33-year-old has made 56 appearances across all competitions.
Man United to get another shot at Conor Gallagher

Manchester United may get another opportunity to sign Atletico Madrid midfielder Conor Gallagher, with the Spanish club reportedly looking to offload the player in this upcoming January window.
United were snubbed by the La Liga outfit last summer as they attempted to sign the England midfielder on an initial loan deal.
However, transfer guru Fabrizio Romano revealed that United could have another opportunity at signing their target, with Atletico looking to get in the region of £26m for his services.
The player has made 69 appearances for Atletico since joining the Spanish outfit in 2024, while his estimated value on Transfermarkt is a cool £35m.
