Aston Villa have already been active in the summer window, but the search for a true Morgan Rogers replacement is still underway.

The England star joined Chelsea in a £117 million deal earlier this month, and reports now suggest the Midlands outfit are looking at Geny Catamo to succeed him at Villa Park.

At 25, Catamo is one of the more seasoned options available and could be signed for around £34 million.

Primarily a right-sided attacker, he can also operate as a No.10 or on the left, offering a similar level of versatility to Rogers and fitting the profile Unai Emery wants in his forward line.

Tottenham Hotspur and their pursuit of Eli Junior Kroupi has been put on the back burner until next year after the 19‑year‑old Bournemouth forward suffered a serious injury that will sideline him for months.

In response, Spurs have quickly drawn up a three‑man shortlist of alternatives, with 2026 World Cup winner Ferran Torres among the names being explored, according to emerging reports.

Hoffenheim’s Fisnik Asllani and Club Brugge’s Nicolo Tresoldi complete the list, though it remains to be seen exactly who the north London outfit will go for now.

Spurs were just days away from submitting a major bid for Kroupi before his setback forced a late rethink.

Manchester City are closing in on the signing of Morocco wonderkid Ayyoub Bouaddi.

That's according to Fabrizio Romano, who reports that talks with Lille and the 18-year-old are expected to “progress today.”

It is also claimed that the Citizens have moved towards an agreement on the fee with the Ligue 1 side, as well as the midfielder's own personal terms.

Bouaddi is likely to cost Enzo Maresca's side around £85 million, and there is an expectation that he will be loaned back to Lille for the 2026/27 campaign.
