Liverpool have emerged as the favourites to sign Alex Scott from Bournemouth in January, with the Reds now prioritising midfield upgrades after a mixed start to the season.

The Reds have lacked energy and legs in the middle of the park for a number of years now, and Scott would bring an abundance of both, in addition to obvious quality.

According to the Mail, Bournemouth have softened their stance on a January sale, and would sanction Scott's departure should their form improve and an offer of £100m comes in.

Chelsea were the most active bidders for Scott in the summer, but the most they offered for the 23-year-old was £68m.

Jude Bellingham to commit his future to Real Madrid

Jude Bellingham is reportedly set to reject interest from the Premier League to commit his future to Real Madrid for the foreseeable future.

According to Fichajes, the midfielder has snubbed interest from Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City and is set to sign a new long-term deal at the Santiago Bernabeu to kill all speculation.

Bellingham joined the Spanish giants in 2023 and has gone on to become one of their most important players. While a Premier League switch could still happen in the future, the player is happy and settled in the Spanish capital.

The news of his impending contract extension is a big boost to Jose Mourinho, who continues to fight for control of the Real Madrid dressing room.

William Saliba is being linked with a sensational move to PSG this winter, with the European champions reportedly prioritising a move for the defender.

According to El Nacional Cat, Luis Enrique has identified the Arsenal man as his number one defensive target and believes he could help the club towards a third consecutive Champions League title.

The report states that the French giants are preparing a €90m offer for Saliba, but Arsenal are expected to reject it.

The Frenchman is currently out injured for the Gunners, but remains a key cog in the Gunners' wheel under Mikel Arteta, who is likely counting down the days until Saliba can return.
