Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus is reportedly weighing up a return to domestic football in Brazil, with the former Man City man surplus to requirements at the Emirates Stadium.
According to a report in Football Insider, Palmeiras are leading the race to sign Jesus this winter, and he could be available at a discounted price given that he only has 18 months left on his current contract.
The striker came through the ranks at Palmeiras as a young boy before making over 50 first-team appearances for the club. He has since had an impressive career in the Premier League, but the time could be right to move back home.
Jesus will still harbour ambitions of making the Brazil squad for the 2026 World Cup, and his only chance is to play regular football during the final six months of the season.
Man City make Elliot Anderson a priority
There isn't a player in English football more in demand than Elliot Anderson right now, and the latest club to go all-in on the player is reportedly Manchester City.
According to a report by Craig Hope in the Daily Mail, the former Newcastle midfielder is well-liked by Pep Guardiola, and he is now a priority for the club in 2026.
Whether City make a bid this January will largely depend on whether any other clubs make an offer to Nottingham Forest. Almost every big club in the Premier League has been linked with the player, so it isn't out of the question that bids will go in this winter.
Nottingham Forest are adamant that they will not entertain offers for the player this winter, and will hold out for £100m in the summer.
Real Madrid drop interest in Ibrahima Konate
Real Madrid have officially informed Liverpool that they have no interest in signing Ibrahima Konate next summer, despite months of speculation linking the French defender with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu.
According to a report by David Ornstein, Real Madrid did previously have a long-standing interest in the player, but they no longer have any intention of signing him, even if he becomes available for free at the end of the season.
Konate's poor form for Liverpool this season has likely been a contributing factor to Real Madrid's decision, with the defender failing to hit the heights he has reached in recent seasons at Anfield.
Whether the 26-year-old now decides to renew his contract at Liverpool will be interesting to see over the next couple of months.
