Elsewhere, Crystal Palace continue to scout Europe and beyond for a potential Marc Guehi backdrop, but they do so amid the news that Oliver Glasner has turned down the opportunity to extend his contract at Selhurst Park.

Manchester United complete deal for 17-year-old

Manchester United may be in dire need of immediate reinforcements, but they are also busy future-proofing their squad, and today, they completed a deal for a 17-year-old Colombian called Cristian Oroczo.
Oroczo currently plays for Colombian side Fortaleza, but scouts have been so impressed with what they have seen that the club have greenlit the move earlier than planned to fight off any other potential interest in the highly-rated midfielder.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Red Devils have paid $1m for his services, and he will officially join the club in the summer of 2026, meaning he will play out the season at Fortaleza.
Given that he is a player signed for the future, it wouldn't be a surprise to see him sent out on loan for the 2026-27 season, too, so we could be waiting a while before we see Oroczo in a Man Utd shirt.
Spurs join the race for Hayden Hackney

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Hayden Hackney from Middlesbrough this winter, but according to reports.
The talented midfielder is impressing in the Championship this season, and his performances have been noted by both Man Utd and Fulham.
The report goes on to state that while Middlesbrough are resigned to losing Hackney at some point, they hope to keep hold of him until the end of the season, especially with the club currently at the top of the Championship table.
If he does remain at the Riverside until the summer of 2026, then clubs could sign him on a cheaper deal than they would get in January, as his contract expires in the summer of 2027.
Crystal Palace step up their search for a Marc Guehi replacement

Crystal Palace reportedly have two top targets in mind to replace Marc Guehi, with the Eagles now resigned to losing the England defender on a free transfer next summer.
According to the Sun, Sporting's Ousmane Diomande and Chelsea's Josh Acheampong are both rated highly by the powers that be at Selhurst Park, and the club could step up their interest in January.
The same report states that the club have accepted that Marc Guehi won't sign a new contract at the club, but that they have been impressed with how he has knuckled down and performed since his deadline day move to Liverpool collapsed in the summer.
The Guehi situation isn't the only storm brewing at Selhurst Park, either. Oliver Glasner has turned down a contract offer from the club and is reportedly eyeing the Manchester United job.
