According to the reliable Fabrizio Romano, City have been given the green light to bid £85m for the Dutchman, but Liverpool will need to find a replacement in order to accept the offer.

With Bradley Barcola already on the way to Liverpool, he is unlikely to qualify as the Gakpo replacement, meaning City and Gakpo face a nervous wait over the next couple of days to see if a deal can be made.

The sale is unlikely to go down well with Liverpool fans, who will not be enthused about losing a player to a direct rival.

Nick Woltemade linked with Man Utd move

Manchester United are still in the market for a left-back and a back-up striker with just a few days of the transfer window remaining, and according to FootyInsider, Nick Woltemade could be the answer to their striker shortage.

FootyInsider's report states that the German has been offered to Manchester United through intermediaries and that United are considering making Newcastle an offer.

Arsenal move on to Endrick

Arsenal have reportedly accepted defeat in their pursuit of Julian Alvarez and have swiftly moved on to Brazilian youngster Endrick.

The Gunners are desperate to add to their attacking options before Tuesday's deadline, and according to TalkSport, they have made an official approach to Real Madrid for Endrick.

Jose Mourinho is said to be against selling the 20-year-old, but Arsenal believe a deal can be reached provided Endrick wants and pushes for the move.
