Chelsea and their hopes of signing Alex Scott could be on hold, with Bournemouth reportedly determined to keep the midfielder beyond the January transfer window.

The Blues are said to be preparing a fresh move after seeing a £64m bid rejected during the summer, while Real Madrid have also tracked the England international's progress.

Scott enhanced his growing reputation with a full England debut in the Three Lions' recent win over Croatia, but Bournemouth remain committed to retaining the 22-year-old until at least the end of the season.

The midfielder's future remains uncertain amid reports he has yet to agree a new contract, although a recent quad injury could temporarily halt speculation over a winter move.

Aston Villa eye Endrick loan deal

Aston Villa have reportedly emerged as one of the leading candidates to sign Real Madrid forward Endrick on loan in the January transfer window.

The Brazilian is said to be considering his options after struggling for game time under Jose Mourinho, with several attackers currently ahead of him in the pecking order at the Bernabeu.

Roma and Lyon have also been credited with an interest, but according to reports in Spain, Villa could offer the attraction of Premier League football and potential Champions League involvement under Unai Emery.

Endrick enjoyed a productive spell on loan at Lyon earlier this year, and another temporary move is now being touted as the most likely solution to his lack of minutes in Madrid.

Tottenham priority in January revealed

Tottenham Hotspur are planning a more measured approach to the January transfer window despite concerns over their start to the season.

After spending more than £300m on new signings in the summer, Spurs are said to be focusing on targeted additions rather than another major recruitment drive.

Reports now suggest attacking reinforcements are higher on the agenda than defensive signings, with Dominic Solanke and Omar Marmoush yet to register a Premier League goal involvement this term.

The north London club are expected to prioritise a value-for-money striker deal as Roberto De Zerbi looks to strengthen his squad without another significant outlay.
