According to Spanish outlet Sport, Barcelona have come back to Manchester City with a second offer for midfielder Rodri.

The second bid for the 30-year-old is said to be around £51m, and it is expected to be turned down given that City are looking for at least £60m.

Reports indicate that City are unwilling to move below their initial valuation, though talks between the two clubs continue, with Barca hoping to avoid a similar drawn-out saga to their Julian Alvarez pursuit.

Despite the ongoing stalemate, Barca’s officials are said to be in a positive frame of mind, with some reports suggesting they could launch a third official bid, should the second face rejection.

Cristian Romero’s Arsenal dream

Cristian Romero is looking to become the first player in 25 years to swap Tottenham for Arsenal, though currently a deal is far from assured.

According to The Sun, the recent World Cup finalist is looking to leave Spurs following his five-year service for the club.

Arsenal are one of three clubs, alongside Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan, to have the player on their radar, though the idea of selling one of their best players to their biggest rivals is not something that is on Tottenham’s wish list.

The British media outlet claims that Spurs would rather have Romero play for the reserves than sell to Arsenal, especially with the player still having three years remaining on his contract.

Spurs seek Man City man

Sticking with Tottenham, the club are holding talks with Manchester City regarding the potential signing of winger Savinho.

According to Football Insider, Spurs are ready to present a £60m offer, which they believe will be enough to bring the 22-year-old to North London.

The player has been on Tottenham’s radar for the last 12 months, though previous attempts to sign him were blocked by former City boss Pep Guardiola.

Despite the Spaniard rejecting Spurs’ advances, Savinho only made seven starts in the Premier League last season – something that has galvanised Spurs to make another offer.
