England crashed out of the World Cup last night, surrendering a lead as Argentina roared back to snatch a dramatic comeback victory.

With the national team’s campaign over, the spotlight will inevitably swing back to club football, and many Premier League clubs are wasting no time pressing ahead with their summer transfer business.

Football Whispers takes a look at the biggest rumours and developing stories dominating today’s back pages.

Manchester United are set to launch a move for Crysencio Summerville, but only on one key condition.

According to the Guardian, the Red Devils will pursue the relegated West Ham United and Netherlands winger if they can first offload Marcus Rashford.

Rashford returns to Old Trafford after two loan spells, and with his future still uncertain, there remains a real possibility he begins the season at the club.

United would prefer to sell him, yet few sides are able to finance a deal. Should a buyer emerge, Summerville, who is valued at around £30 million, is high on their list of replacements.

Much of the talk at Manchester City has centred on strengthening Enzo Maresca’s midfield, but the club have now been linked with an exciting emerging talent.

Per reports in France, the Citizens are taking a keen interest in young Paris Saint-Germain forward Ibrahim Mbaye, who can play on both flanks or through the middle.

City aren’t alone in the chase, though, with Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur also keeping close tabs on the 18-year-old's situation.

It's believed that Senegal wonderkid Mbaye is viewed as a likely replacement for Savinho, who has been tipped for a summer exit.

Christos Tzolis wants Arsenal move

Arsenal have been handed a major boost in their pursuit of one of Mikel Arteta’s key summer targets.

The Gunners are aiming to strengthen the left flank, with Club Brugge winger Christos Tzolis high on their shortlist alongside Villa’s Morgan Rogers.

Reports now indicate that the Greece international is eager to make the move to the Emirates Stadium — but any deal would require a Belgian Pro League record fee.

That figure would need to surpass the £32.5 million that AC Milan paid the Belgian champions for Charles De Ketelaere back in 2022.
