AC Milan to hijack Joshua Zirkzee move
Manchester United striker Joshua Zirkzee appears to be in the middle of a transfer battle between Serie A giants AS Roma and AC Milan, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
The 24-year-old has been linked with Roma for a long time, and recent media reports suggested that the Italian outfit had opened negotiations with Man United over an initial loan deal.
It seemed like the path to a deal was clear, though AC Milan have now scuppered those plans by throwing themselves into the hunt for the striker.
Gazzetta reports that Zirkzee fits the profile desired by manager Massimiliano Allegri, while his estimated value according to Transfermarkt sits around the £22m mark.
Bayern Munich make plans to sign Marc Guehi
Crystal Palace star and England international Marc Guehi could join Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich in January, with the German side already making moves before the window officially opens.
Guehi has been heavily linked with Liverpool in recent months and almost joined the Reds on deadline day during the summer transfer window.
However, Sky Sports Germany are now reporting that Bayern sporting director Max Eberl is planning to hold talks with Guehi at the start of next month.
The 25-year-old, who will be out of contract in the summer, has the option to sign a pre-contract agreement with a foreign club – something that Bayern are well aware of.
Arsenal considering Rodrygo and Rafael Leao
Premier League leaders Arsenal are looking to strengthen their attacking options, and they have outlined Rodrygo and Radael Leao as two potential long-term signings, according to Caughtoffside.
Mikel Arteta’s men are not actively looking for a striker ahead of the January transfer window, though the Gunners are making plans for the future, and they have outlined Real Madrid’s Rodrygo and AC Milan’s Leao as potential targets.
Both players are tied to their clubs until the summer of 2028, meaning Arsenal would have to dig deep into their pockets in order to make even one of those deals a reality.
Leao’s current Transfermarkt valuation has crossed the £60m mark, while Rodrygo is slightly higher despite his poor run of form in La Liga.
