Manchester City keeper courted by Turkish club

Manchester City could see yet another goalkeeping departure, with Turkish side Trabzonspor currently exploring the possibility of signing Stefan Ortega, according to journalist Florian Plettenberg.
The German goalkeeper has struggled to get much game time since arriving at the Etihad Stadium from Arminia Bielefeld back in 2022. In fact, he has only made 25 Premier League appearances across his three seasons with the Citizens.

The situation in Manchester has just become more complicated for the German, considering the club have just completed the signing of Italian shot-stopper Gianluigi Donnarumma for over £30m.
Paris Saint-Germain’s former keeper is expected to be the new number one in Pep Guardiola’s side. James Trafford, who also joined over the summer, is likely to be the second goalkeeper, leaving Ortega as the third-choice man. With the Turkish transfer window closing on September 12, there is plenty of time for all parties to come to an agreement.
Manchester United chasing Brighton midfielder

Struggling Premier League giants Manchester United are plotting a future move for Brighton midfielder Carlos Baleba, according to the latest reports by TEAMtalk.
Ruben Amorim’s side were pondering a summer move for the Cameroon international, but the hefty price tag of £100m caused them to rethink their transfer strategy.
Baleba is understood to be the club’s top target, with the 21-year-old being outlined as a big part of Amorim’s squad rebuild. However, the Red Devils are also eyeing up Crystal Palace’s Adam Wharton and Sporting Lisbon’s Morten Hjulmand.
The report argues that United are willing to break their transfer record in order to get their hands on a world class midfielder. That record was set back in 2016 when the club splashed a cool £89m on Paul Pogba.
Fermin Lopez had ‘no plans' to join Chelsea

Barcelona superstar Lamine Yamal revealed teammate Fermin Lopez had no intention of moving to the Premier League, despite strong links with Chelsea towards the end of the transfer window.
The Catalan giants value the promising youngster at around £80m and had no intention of parting ways with the 22-year-old. Lopez also rejected the approach from Chelsea, according to Mundo Deportivo.
Yamal cleared up the situation during an interview with Spanish broadcaster TVE. The 18-year-old said: “We were joking with Fermín about moving to England… but he's happy at Barcelona. No one wants to leave. We asked him about that bid from England, but Fermín said he’s happy here, he had no plans to leave.”
Lopez has a contract with Barcelona until the summer of 2028, and as things stand, that is a contract which he plans to honour.
