Player to Watch: Olivier Giroud

The France and AC Milan forward, Olivier Giroud, continues to impress for club and country despite his advancing age.

The 36-year-old is back in the France squad and has started the new Serie A season with 4-goals in his opening three appearances, so he clearly still has something to offer his country for whom he has scored 54 times in 124 games.

We're backing Giruod to impress for France once again against a tough Ireland defence and wouldn't be surprised to even see him start the game and either provide a goal or an assist during the 90-minutes. Having never relied on his pace, Giroud has a knack of getting himself into the right positions at the right time and there aren't many better in the air than the former Arsenal man.
