Eberechi Eze to have over 3.5 shots

Crystal Palace midfielder Eberechi Eze is averaging 3.78 shots per 90 minutes in the Premier League this season.

In-form Crystal Palace look to make it four straight wins in all competitions on Saturday when they play host to relegation-battling Ipswich Town in the Premier League.

Crystal Palace vs Ipswich prediction: Eberechi Eze to impress?

Key Stats

  • Eberechi Eze has taken more shots than any other Crystal Palace player in the Premier League this season (77).
  • Both teams have scored in 64% of Crystal Palace's home games in the league this season.
  • 77% of Ipswich Town's away games in the Premier League have ended with both teams scoring.

Correct score prediction: Crystal Palace 2-1 Ipswich

Despite the fact that the Eagles have performed better on the road than they have at Selhurst Park so far this season, we're backing the host to claim a 2-1 win on Saturday. Ipswich concede an average of 2.08 goals per away game but the Tractor Boys have managed to score an average of 1.23 goals on their travels, which adds weight to our prediction for a 2-1 home win.

Pre-game odds and win probability: The odds are stacked against the visitors

  • HOME: 17/35 (1.49) – 67.3%
  • DRAW: 15/4 (4.75) – 21.1%

Crystal Palace preview: Thrashed Aston Villa in the capital

Crystal Palace's last outing in the Premier League was at home against Aston Villa which produced five goals.

Ismaila Sarr scored the only goal of the opening 45 minutes to put Crystal Palace in front but Villa equalised early in the second half. That goal only seemed to motivate the home side as John Philippe Mateta put Palace back in front seven minutes later and Sarr grabbed his second goal of the game in the 71st minute to make it 3-1. A late goal for Eddie Nketiah wrapped up a convincing 4-1 victory for the Eagles, taking the club onto 36 points for the season.

Will Hughes is suspended this weekend for the home side, while Joel Ward, Cheick Doucoure and Chadi Riad could miss the game through injury.

Predicted lineup: Henderson (GK), Guehi, Munoz, Lacroix, Mitchell, Richards, Lerma, Eze, Wharton, Mateta & Sarr

Ipswich preview: Lost a five-goal thriller at Old Trafford

Keiran McKenna's side made the trip to Old Trafford for their last Premier League fixture where despite ending the game a man up, the Tractor Boys slipped to yet another defeat.

Jaden Philogene scored a brace in this game with his second goal arriving in first-half stoppage time to make the scoreline 2-2 at the interval with Ipswich a player to the good following Patrick Dorgu's sending-off. However, Man Utd scored the only goal of the second 45 via Harry Maguire to win the game 3-2.

Wesley Burns, Chiedozie Ogbene, Omari Giraud-Hutchinson, Christian Walton, Julio Enciso, Samuel Szmodics and Conor Chaplin could all miss the trip to Selhurst Park this weekend due to injury.

Predicted lineup: Palmer (GK), Tuanzebe, O'Shea, Greaves, Davis, Morsy, Cajuste, Clarke, Delap, Philogene & Broadhead

Player to watch: Eberechi Eze

Eberechi Eze hasn't been able to produce the goals we have come to expect from the England international this season, with just two registered in 23 appearances, but he has been in excellent form creatively.

Eze player to watch
Eze in action for Crystal Palace – Photo by Imago

Eze scored 10 league goals in the 2022/23 season and 11 last time out but has just two goals to his name this season but the 26-year-old has provided more assists (6) than any other Crystal Palace player in the 2024/25 campaign.

Eze has provided the Eagles' creative spark this season

We're backing Eze to put in another excellent display on Saturday, one that will help guide Crystal Palace to all three points at Selhurst Park.
