Inter Milan vs Al-Nassr Lineups, Team News, and Match Preview
Inter Milan
The Champions League finalists have frustrated their supporters this summer with the lack of big transfer news. At least when it comes to players joining the club. The team lost top goalkeeper Andre Onana to Manchester United, Marcelo Brozovic left to join Al-Nassr, Milan Skriniar signed up for PSG while Andrea Pinamonti went to Sassuolo. When it comes to the arrivals, Marcus Thuram and Juan Cuadrado joined on a free transfer while some money was paid for Davide Frattesi, Kristjan Asllani, and Yan Aurel Bisseck. Manager Simone Inzaghi will have a difficult season ahead to contemplate how to build a winning side.
Provisional lineup: Stankovic, Bastoni, de Vrij, Dimarco, Darmian, Asllani, Barella, Mkhitaryan, Dumfries, Thuram, Martinez.
Al-Nassr
The Saudi Arabia team continues to make waves on the open market. After Marcelo Brozovic and Seko Fofana, the newest addition is Alex Telles. Cristiano Ronaldo, of course, leads the team and waits for what superstars are going to join him in Riyadh. There isn't a limit on Al-Nassr's spending power, so it would be unwise to suggest that their transfer activity is done. There is a lot more on the roster to put some extra talent in the ranks. David Ospina and Pity Martinez are injured at the moment.
Provisional lineup: Al-Aqidi, Madu, Lajami, Konan, Kim, Brozovic, Ali, Fofana, Talisca, Ronaldo, Adam.
Player to Watch: Lautaro Martinez
It is surprising that, as of right now, some of the super-rich Saudi Arabia clubs haven't come in and bid for Lautaro Martinez. The 25-year-old Argentine has been scoring whenever he got an opportunity netting 102 goals alongside 36 assists in 238 matches for Inter Milan. He is entering his sixth year playing for the Milan outfit.
Lautaro star has been shining when he wears Argentina national team jersey as well, he was pivotal during their World Cup winning campaign and his international stats speak the truth about his importance as he scored 21 goals in 48 caps. His contract with Inter runs until 2026, so the club has some leverage to hold on to him, but anything can happen if a big-time offer comes along.
Starting lineups
Starting lineups are usually released 60 minutes before kick-off.
