Hungary will take on Bosnia in the UEFA Nations League on Tuesday, 10 September with both teams looking to bounce back from opening round defeats.
Hungary were taught a lesson by Germany and succumbed to a 5-0 defeat in Dusseldorf but they are better than that and will be keen to show that on Tuesday.
Bosnia also conceded five goals in their opening match but they did also find two of their own in their defeat to the Netherlands. This is their first time in League A and are now aware of the jump in quality.
As part of our latest round of Nations League betting tips, here is our Hungary vs Bosnia prediction.

Hungary vs Bosnia prediction: Home comforts to come up trumps for Hungary
Key Stats
- Hungary haven't lost a match at home in nearly a year.
- Bosnia have lost their last seven matches in all competitions.
- Four of Hungary's last six matches have seen more than two goals scored.
Correct score prediction: Hungary 2-1 Bosnia
Bosnia proved against the Netherlands that they are capable of scoring goals away from home and if they can score twice against a strong Dutch defence then they should have some joy on Tuesday. Hungary are a very strong team at home, though, and usually find a way to win and we anticipate they'll outscore Bosnia.
Pre-game odds and win probability: Hosts priced as favourites
- HOME: 4/5 (1.80) – 55.6%
- DRAW: 13/5 (3.60) – 27.8%
- AWAY: 10/3 (4.33) – 23.1%

Most recent H2Hs: Advantage Hungary
Hungary and Bosnia have only ever played each other on four previous occasions and Hungary boast an unbeaten record across those four matches. The two most recent matches took place in Euro 2008 qualifying so there isn't too much to draw from them but Hungary did complete the double over Bosnia, winning 3-1 away and 1-0 at home.
Hungary preview: Looking for a response
Hungary weren't expected to go to Germany and win on Saturday but they also weren't expected to roll over and lose 5-0. They have some talented players in their squad, notably Liverpool's Dominik Szoboszlai, and they will be keen to bounce back immediately on Tuesday night.

Player to watch: Dominik Szoboszlai
The Hungary captain has lost his way somewhat over the past 12 months and he has struggled to fully adapt to life at Liverpool. However, at the age of 23, there is still plenty of time for him to find his feet again and return to the levels he showed at RB Leipzig. Szoboszlai remains Hungary's best player and his ability from dead-ball situations usually means they are always alive in the game.
