Girona's struggles continued with a 2-1 defeat at Valencia last weekend. They have now lost back-to-back games and are without a win in their last three outings.
As things stand, Michel's troops are only four points above the relegation zone, with five matches remaining. On the positive side, they have been impressive at home of late, winning three of their last five matches at Estadi Montilivi.
The hosts remain without Juan Carlos and Donny van de Beek, with both players still sidelined with cruciate ligament injuries, while Abel Ruiz, who has thigh issues, is also unavailable for this game.
Girona have further injury absentees, as Vladyslav Vanat and Marc-Andre ter Stegen are both nursing hamstring injuries, while Alex Moreno, who received a milestone booking against Valencia, misses out due to suspension.
On the other hand, Mallorca suffered a 2-1 defeat against Deportivo Alaves in their last fixture. With only five matches left to play, they are now a point above the relegation zone in 17th place.
Interestingly, Martin Demichelis's men have been the worst travellers in La Liga this season, winning only one of their 16 away games.
On the injury front for Mallorca, only Mateo Joseph is confirmed to be unavailable, with the youngster nursing a knee problem.
Vedat Muriqi, who is chasing the Pichichi trophy, should be fit just in time for this game after suffering a slight overload in the clash against Valencia, but there are doubts surrounding the availability of Marash Kumbulla, who still has fitness concerns from muscular discomfort.

It is also worth mentioning that six of Mallorca's last seven matches and five of the last seven H2Hs went above the 2.5-goal threshold.
On that note, Girona & over 2.5 total goals can be backed at 3.00.
