Getafe were reduced to 10 men in their season opener at Deportivo Alaves last weekend, and despite their best efforts to hold on for a point, the Madrid side ultimately conceded three late goals, with two of those coming in stoppage time.
To be fair, Jose Bordalas' troops returned to winning ways earlier this week, as they defeated Partizan Belgrade 3-1 in the first leg of their UEFA Conference League play-off tie on Thursday.
However, the hosts, who have now won four consecutive home games stretching back to their previous campaign, will be eyeing their first win of the league season this weekend.
Christantus Uche (ACL) and Juanmi (knee) are both sidelined for Getafe due to injury, while Kiko Femenia is suspended for this clash following his sending-off against Alaves.
On the other hand, Racing Santander kicked off their new campaign with a 2-2 draw against Villarreal. The Cantabrian side raced to a commanding two-goal lead in the first 35 minutes but were unable to claim all the spoils.
Taking their 2011/12 campaign into account, the visitors are now without a win in their last 21 La Liga fixtures. Their last victory in this competition came against Osasuna in January 2012.
Head coach Jose Alberto Lopez will once again be without the services of Giorgi Guliashvili due to injury, with the Georgian forward not expected back from his fibula issue layoff until September.
Racing Club could also be without defender Pedro Felipe, who picked up a 16th-minute injury in last week's draw against Villarreal.
Summer signing Asier Villalibre made his debut last weekend and is a strong favourite to lead the line for the visitors once again.
Furthermore, this will be the first skirmish between these sides since May 2012, and Getafe have no wins in their last four home encounters with Racing Santander.

We also fancy a 3-1 correct score at 24/1 (25.00). The hosts won two of their last three competitive home games by this scoreline.
