Gaziantep vs Galatasaray prediction: Away win on the horizon
Key stats
- Gaziantep are winless in back-to-back friendly games (D1, L1).
- The Falcons have won just once in 10 Super Lig fixtures.
- Galatasaray are unbeaten since losing to Besiktas in March 2025.
- The Lions won four and drew one of their five preseason friendly matches.
Correct score prediction: Gaziantep 0-4 Galatasaray
Gaziantep are enduring a tough run of results, winless in nine straight outings, including their two friendlies in late July. The hosts finished eight points clear of the relegation zone last season after failing to win their final seven league games last campaign (D3, L4). Their home form has been dismal as well, having last tasted victory on home soil in a 2-1 win over Hatayspor in April.
Okan Buruk’s Galatasaray, meanwhile, are in impeccable shape, although they witnessed their 15-game winning streak come to a halt in a 2-2 draw against Lazio in their previous game. Besiktas are the last team to have beaten the visitors, back in March, and Gaziantep barely possess the firepower to tackle down the reigning Turkish champions.
Pre-game odds and win probability: Gala the overwhelming favourites
- HOME: 13/2 (7.50) – 13.3%
- DRAW: 4/1 (5.00) – 20%
- AWAY: 4/11 (1.36) – 73.5%

This opening league fixture will be Gaziantep’s first big game of the season, and they are understandably the underdogs against the heavyweights. They are backed by diminiutive odds of 13/2 (7.50), indicating a 13.3% probability of success.
As the reigning champions with a formidable recent win record, Galatasaray are concrete favourites, priced at 4/11 (1.36) – a 73.5% win probability rate.

Player to watch: Victor Osimhen

Osimhen’s loan stint to Galatasaray in 2024/25 proved successful, as the Nigerian ended the campaign as the league top scorer while helping the club secure the domestic double. Now a permanent member of the squad following a record-breaking transfer, he will want to take his statistics to the next level, starting with Gaziantep this term.
Osimhen registered 37 goals and eight assists in 41 appearances for Galatasaray last season.
