🔥 Our Hot tip

Galatasaray to win

Galatasaray are unbeaten at home in the league this season, claiming 11 wins and four draws from their 15 matches at Rams Park so far.

Separated by just four points in the Super Lig standings with four games to go, Galatasaray and Fenerbahce lock horns in a thrilling top-of-the-table clash at Rams Park on Sunday.

Having both crashed out of the Turkish Cup in midweek, the two sides will head into the weekend looking to immediately bounce back, with the visitors aiming to blow the title race wide open.

FootballWhispers’ Galatasaray vs Fenerbahce prediction takes a look at the odds of both sides coming out on top in the latest instalment of the Intercontinental Derby, while you can also find more betting tips for today by clicking here.

Still licking their wounds from their surprise exit from the Turkish Cup, Super Lig title chasers Galatasaray know they must avoid any slip-ups if they are to emerge champions as the season enters its decisive final stretch.

Orkan Buruk’s men’s quest for a record-extending 19th cup crown came to an end in the quarter-finals on Wednesday, when they fell to a 2-0 home defeat at the hands of Genclerbirligi in the second of their league-and-cup double-header, with Firatcan Uzum and Adama Malouda Traore netting second-half goals to cause a major cup upset.

Galatasaray now turn their focus to the Super Lig, where they have won 22 of their 30 matches so far, including last weekend’s 2-1 victory over Genclerbirligi at the Eryaman Stadium, and remain in pole position to defend the title for a third straight season.

The Aslanlar, who emerged champions since their 13th-placed finish in a horror 2019-20 campaign, have racked up 71 points so far to sit top of the league standings, four points above this weekend’s visitors in second place with four games to go.

While Galatasaray can take pride in their unbeaten home run in the Super Lig this season, they will need to be at their best this weekend when they go up against an opposing side who have lost just one of their last 10 league visits to Rams Park since 2016.

Like the home side, Fenerbahce head into Saturday’s tie fresh off the back of a disappointing quarter-final exit from the Turkish Cup following a 1-0 extra-time defeat against Konyaspor on Tuesday.

With nothing to separate the two teams at the Medas Konya Buyuksehir Belediyesi Stadium, Marko Jevtovic kept his cool under pressure to convert from the penalty in the stoppage time of extra time and hand Konyaspor their first win over the visitors since August 2022.

This was a second consecutive last-gasp heartbreak for Domenico Tedesco’s men, who were held to a 2-2 draw by Caykur Rizespor in the Super Lig last weekend, when they conceded a 98th-minute equaliser at the Chobani Stadium.

Since suffering a surprise 2-0 defeat against rock-bottom Fatih Karagumruk on March 13, Fenerbahce have picked up three wins and one draw from their four league matches, a run which has ensured they remain within striking distance of Galatasaray at the top of the league standings.

Whispers predicts: Galatasaray 2-1 Fenerbahce

This is a really tough match to call, with Galatasaray and Fenerbahce feeling they have what it takes to get the job done in a game that could potentially decide the title.

However, given their outstanding performances at home, we predict Galatasaray to win, currently priced at 2.35, and with Buruk’s side failing to keep a clean sheet in their last six games, we fancy both sides to score at 1.53.

Galatasaray to win + BTTS sits at 4.00, which perhaps stands out as the value bet for us, while the correct score market has a correct score of 2-1 priced at 9.50.
