The Europa-Park Stadion will be the battleground as Freiburg host Union Berlin in a tasty Sunday evening Bundesliga clash.
The hosts are hunting a fourth straight victory across all competitions, though they will have to overcome a poor head-to-head record.
Die Eisernen, on the other hand, will be hoping to end their four-match winless run and, at the same time, extend their unbeaten run against Freiburg to eight straight meetings – an outcome you can back with this Ladbrokes sign-up offer.

Freiburg’s 2-1 victory over Augsburg last weekend not only nudged them up to third in the Bundesliga standings, but also marked their second-best start to a league campaign.
Head coach Julian Schuster is the mastermind behind Freiburg’s recent successes, and he led his men through a 10-match unbeaten run at the very start of the 2026-27 campaign – a series of games which included nine victories.
The Breisgau Brazilians did endure a rare hiccup towards the end of October, losing three successive games against Bayer Leverkusen, Monaco and Bayern Munich.
Since then, however, Freiburg have returned to winning ways, knocking Wolfsburg out of the cup, beating Augsburg away in the league, and edging Trabzonspor in the Europa Conference League.
As well as their recent winning run, Freiburg will be encouraged by the positive injury updates regarding Patrick Osterhage, Berkay Yilmaz and Bruno Ogbus – all of whom could be available in the very near future.
The big task this weekend for the home team will be ending their seven-match winless run against Union Berlin.
Since 2022, the team from the German capital have won four and drawn three of those seven meetings – this includes a 1-0 victory they enjoyed last March.
The head-to-head record is one of the very few things that Union have in their arsenal, given their miserable start to the campaign.
Currently sitting in the bottom three, Die Eisernen have just seven points to their name from eight games, managing just one Bundesliga victory.
Head coach Mauro Lustrinelli remains under pressure, and his task is not set to get any easier on Sunday given that Union have only picked up nine points from all their away games this calendar year.
The Berlin outfit will be without the suspended Felix Uduokhai, as well as the injured quartet of Robert Skov, Stanley Nsoki, Andrik Markgraf and Aljoscha Kemlein.

Whispers predicts: Freiburg 3-1 Union Berlin
If there was ever a good time for Freiburg to end their winless run against Union Berlin, this is it.
Backing the hosts in the outright market is unlikely to offer much value, but there are other tasty markets available.
Freiburg with a -1 handicap are currently available at 6/5, and this is a bet that has already landed five times this season.
The over 2.5 goals market at 3/5 is another selection that deserves consideration considering it has landed in nine of Freiburg’s previous 10 matches.
Both teams to score at 3/4 is a bet that offers a tad more value, as a result of Union Berlin’s poor record away from home.
The 3-1 correct score selection at 11/1 is a riskier bet, but it does come with eye catching odds.
> Freiburg -1 handicap at 6/5 | Likelihood: Possible
> Over 2.5 goals at 3/5 | Likelihood: Probable
> Both teams to score at 3/4 | Likelihood: Possible
> Correct score 3-1 at 11/1 | Likelihood: Outsider
